The Westgate is a wonderful off-strip (but not too far off) resort with loads of LV history. It has been well kept up and has many great restaurants and amenities. We had a great stay there. The room was clean and large, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was very nice too. We had a Keurig in our room as well. Their rates are always reasonable too.
The bed was extremely comfortable and the pillows were soft. The room was nice. |Mr. Jose Westgate was so warming and welcoming. He was the greeter. We had wonderful conversations. He was so helpful with this being my first trip. Loni was awesome with helping me get tee-shirts made.
Service from front desk and valet was excellent. Got an upgrade to a king suite that had a gorgeous view of the sphere. The casino/resort is fairly clean and modern.
There is a stop for the metro rail right outside the main entrance and that made getting around to the strip very convenient
Only complaint is the food options. The only casual eating options are in the main sports gambling area at the back of the casino. There the service was slow as lots of people would come back to the hotel after a night out looking for a quick bit and food was just decent.
Would stay here again!
Great location if you don’t want to be on the strip and have easy access to 15 with minimal traffic. Our first room appeared to have not been clean, however we let the front desk know and they immediately resolved it by offering us a better room! They are also super pet friendly, which is great because we always travel with my small dog. He also enjoyed his stay and we had easy access to several areas where he could use the bathroom outside the hotel! There were a few times where we could not get anyone at the desk to answer a call, but overall we had a great stay and loved our room!
I had the absolute worst experience at this hotel. I was here for work, expecting a smooth and comfortable stay, but it turned out to be a complete nightmare. Here’s a rundown of the issues I faced:
1. Broken Amenities: The heater on the air conditioner didn’t work, and the elevator in our tower was out of service. We were relocated to a different tower, only to find that the elevator there stopped working the very next morning. To make things worse, the water supply was cut off shortly after.
2. Horrible Communication: When I returned from work at 3 AM, exhausted, the parking entrance and main door to our tower were both blocked. There was no prior warning about this. I had to walk all the way around the building to get in. When I approached the reception to ask why guests weren’t informed, Charlene at the front desk was shockingly rude. She told me the entrance is always closed at night and said, “This hotel has 600 doors; we’re not going to notify you if one of them is closed.”
3. Overpriced and Hidden Fees: The hotel is overpriced for the terrible experience it offers. On top of that, I was charged a $200 hotel fee that wasn’t mentioned anywhere during booking.
4. Facilities Closed: When I came back from work the next evening, the restroom was closed too.
This hotel completely failed on all fronts—comfort, service, and communication. For the premium price they charge, this level of service is unacceptable. If you’re looking for a hassle-free stay, avoid this place at all costs.
So much history. Staff was amazing. Joey the doorman was so helpful. Went beyond and helped us out. Rooms were the right size . Bed comfortable. Had room with view of sphere . Best sport betting in town. I was a little nervous about stay here. 100 percent coming back .
We waited for 4 hours to get into our rooms. Housekeeping didn’t have rooms cleaned until midnight. Promised several things from front desk staff that were not delivered on. Finally got into our rooms and found someone else already in one of our room as they assigned us a room that had already been given to a different guest. Awkward for everyone! Still waiting for managers Kevin and/or Joe to call us back regarding our experience. Horrible experience and customer service. Even worse that they don’t even seem to care
Our room was on the 24th floor, with a great view. The Sphere was quite entertaining. Stayed 3 nights without any trouble. We did not need housekeeping during our stay, but when I wanted an additional box of tissue just in case, a housekeeper kindly gave me one. We appreciated two comfortable chairs and one office chair. The bed was clean, soft and comfortable. The stay was comfortable.
