From the moment I reached the resort, the ambulance was absolutely beautiful and clean. I was greeted right away when walking to check in. Shannon had amazing customer service and professionalism. When I got to my room it smell great very clean and had most of the kitchen Essentials needed. It was a nearby grocery store 4 minutes away, medical center, and restaurants on property. Very convenient to themed parks and attractions. 10/10 in my book! I love West Gate Lakes Resort & Spa.
First of all I wanted to focus my review on the customer care staff. They definitely need well training. Understanding, knowledge and care are not the best qualities they perform nor in person or over the phone.
Secondly charges. They charge for EVERYTHING. It doesn't matter if you are a member. If you are not a member the costs are even higher. Also, be ready to have a hard time finding parking close to your unit
Lastly my recommendation is to visit this resort if you are offered a very good price for the rent. That's the only way it is worth it.
This is a fantastic resort. When I walked in I was greeted and taken care of. I was even given a map and welcome packet to help my stay be as smooth as possible.
The size of the resort intimidated me, however, with their direction, I was less intimidated and taken care of.
When I got to my room, I was very enthusiastic about the jacuzzi and the relaxing night I was going to have.
It was a very enjoyable experience and very thankful for the service that was provided.
The only negative comment would be better priced items at the marketplace, as they were very pricey. I understand the demand though.

This place is awesome and amazing the rooms were like having our own little house we got a one bedroom villa suite and it was amazing. We loved it and the resort has a very nice relaxing island you can walk to and sit off the gazebo and enjoy. It also has 7 pools, a game room, bowling, water park, miniature golf, tennis, basketball, volleyball and a nice fire pits to sit around. It was great and always has activities for everyone to do. It was an amazing trip with our family. We will be back…..
When I arrived at 11:30 pm the line to check in was long, it took about 45 minutes to check in. The guy that checked us in knew his job well but was not welcoming. Arrived at our building, there were no parks available had to ride around an additional 20-30 minutes until we saw someone leaving. Not nearly enough parking for the amount of rooms. We went in to the room the first thing we were welcome by is a smell like the carpet was from 1970's. All the furniture was outdated, the headboard was like from the 80's no outlet to charge the phones, no bedside lamps. There was a creepy urinal in the bathroom next to the toilet. I would not recommend this resort at all. It would've been just as nice to stay at a Motel 6. There was an additional $20 per day, per person fee to use the lazy river. Very disappointed from an avid traveler,
I would say our experience was AMAZING prior to the weekend. We arrived Monday around noon and our check in was quick with no wait. Elizabeth behind the front desk was a doll and was able to get us an upgraded room, high floor with a lake view which I requested at check in. Our room was awesome. It was clean, spacious and quiet. The sounds of nature and the lake view was so relaxing. Drafts restaurant was fabulous and service was wonderful as was the food. Loved the pools, hot tub, nature trails and water park.
However, our relaxing time was short lived as a very different crowd seems to take over starting Friday and continuing through the rest of the weekend. The people coming in were incredibly disrespectful and there really needs to be on site security present by the pools and buildings. The guests below us were blasting rap and screaming yelling at 8am. The pools were taken over with loud speakers brought by guests blaring horrible music and children were not being watched with some literally almost jumping on other swimmers.
Needless to say despite our amazing start we will not be back.
Absolutely stellar experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. I needed my room key card re-activated and the customer service provided by Melinda was beyond exceptional. She went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met with a smile. She is very knowledgeable, attentiveness and made me and my family visit truly delightful. My room card key was reactivated promptly I left feeling valued and appreciated as a customer. A huge thank you to all the staff at West Gate Resorts, specially Melinda at the registration counter!
This place was awesome we didn't have to leave the Resort at all the water parks the bowling alley the restaurant was beautiful. The staff was excellent,the price was even better for 4 days 3 nights. Everything was clean and sanitized,I am definitely going back soon.
