This was a very nice experience our family had during this Thanksgiving holiday, this year. It was also nice to pickup my granddaughters from DC and have them take their first Amtrak train ride to Williamsburg VA. The trip was only took 2 hours!
I’m sure I’ll book again for another special occasion sometime next year.
This place is a home away from home. The Staff are friendly and helpful. Loved the fact that I was able to bring my dog as well. The rooms and grounds are extremely clean and bright. The pool area is clean and inviting. Had family lodging at another well known water park invited them over and they plan to book here next year. On the whole, it was a great vacation! Thank you Westgate! This hotel never suggested us to write a positive review,. We were just satisfied with the service and wanted to share. I don't seem to find the warm hospitality in other Resorts anymore so this was a treat.
My wife and I decided to go here for our anniversary. The room has more than enough space for two people. Everything is available right in the immediate area. There are shopping, eating, entertainment, and tons of history within minutes of the resort. The beach is around an hour away as well. Very good location for a vacation packed with plans, or to just relax.
ABYSMAL! This is not a resort. It’s a cheap ass hotel and they sell rooms to degenerates. Paper thin walls. Completely unsafe. Do not stay here, yes the price is low but it’s like that for a reason. I was a moron to think I could stay at a “resort” for that price and no fees. It’s not a resort, it’s a motel and severely unsafe for families. Can I give it less than one star?
Rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Pillows offered little support. The resort has nice grounds. The staff was friendly. The resort is not in walking distance to historic Williamsburg and does not have a shuttle or anything to take you to Williamsburg so you need a car to go see any of the area attractions. It's a typical Westgate property. Nice and comfortable. The kitchenette can be nice. It's not really anything special. Its not any nicer than any other Westgate property and not any worse than any other Westgate property. There were no elevators, not a problem for us, but others might have a harder time.
This place was great!!! They even put birthday stuff in the room for a small additional charge! The staff was friendly and helpful!! The location is perfect. Close to everything!!!
This review is for going to the timeshare presentation. The employee that we came across told us to wait at the desk for someone to help us. A lady came and sat down at the desk and didn't even look up. Then while chewing something asked me a question that I couldn't understand because of something was in her mouth. So she apologized, swallowed them asked for our IDs. She then put them through a scanner ( which I thought was odd for a presentation). So I asked why it was being scanned and she said every place scans IDs. Ok.. The she looked at my husband and asked ( nasty like) if he was ok. I told her he was fine that he was just having a bad day and had a lot to do that day. So she proceeded to say ( again nasty) " well you don't have to be here". I told her no we came to go to the presentation. So then she asked to see my credit card. Again I asked why do you need to see a credit card for a presentation. And again she said you don't have to be here. So I showed her my card. Then she said she had to look at the back to see my name and expiration date. So I held my hand over my card number as she wrote down stuff from my card. She told me that I didn't need to hide my number because it was to many numbers for her to remember anyway. Then she asked to see it again and write more stuff down. I must say I had to give stars not for the first person but for the man that did the presentation. He did such a great job. He brought you into the conversation by talking about other things. My husband had some real good conversations with him and even enjoyed being there. But it was a shame to have a person greeting people that was not nice and very rude.
We use this hotel multiple times a year. We absolutely love this place and Gio at the front desk is always our favorite.
The only issues we have ever run into are
1- the air conditioner sounded like a Mac truck
2- food room service. It is terrible. We got chicken parmasean and it was like a mcchicken on noodles covered in marinara.
Gross!
So all in all. Don't order room service. Eat local and go to this hotel as it may be small and resort but it is so clean.
Year 5 of coming here and will come for the rest of our lives!!
