Staff and especially activities were GREAT! We’ve rarely encountered so many free or inexpensive ($1-$5) weekend activities and not just for kids! Live band was super bonus —- live music AND they ere great. Only gave 4 stars as sites are tight. Campground was clean and well kept except for the year-round sites but that’s fairly typical. Not sure why campgrounds allow permanent residents to look so run down.
Not quite what I was hoping for. A little unkempt. Full time residence have the place looking in shambles. Bathrooms and dump station were locked at 8am when we were trying to leave. The maintenance guy came and helped back us in though, which was nice.
We had a nice stay here while visiting family in Carlisle. The park is clean, organized, well kept. It's quiet. Our spot was gravel, a bit small for a class C and a toyota tow vehicle, but it worked with the FJ parked a bit crooked out front. The $70 a nite rate was a bit high. The only complaint I have was my Sister and Husband came to visit us on Saturday evening to sit by the fire. They were charged $5 each to get into the park. There was a live band at the Pavillion, but we did not plan on attending as the music was not very good. The pool was closed, laundry is paid, game room is pay to play. $10 was a bit excessive for them to visit for an hour and a half after dark. The sign for the cover charge showed up when the band did. Overall, Because of the visitor charge, lack of pavement, and price to stay for full hookup, I will avoid this park In The future. I have never been to a park anywhere else in the United states, ( I have stayed at at least 40 over the years ) that charged my family to visit me on site. It probably was just the band that instigated it, but like I said, we didn't watch nor did we want to. Either way. I didn't care for it.
Edit ** On the guest rules you receive at sign in it does state all visitors will be charged $5 each. I was warned. On the way out there was a camper and a manager arguing in the office. The camper was getting thrown out of the park for whatever reason. It was a bit dramatic on her part.
Pros : clean, well kept, quiet, near town. Cons : Price, small spot, visitor charge.
Clean bathrooms, friendly staff. Store has things you might forget. Great price on bags of ice. Lots of amenities. Tent sites are a little confusing, sharing power and water. You might need 50ft extension cord. Great value.
Thank you for making accommodations to make our stay more enjoyable. The anniversary surprise in our cabin was so very thoughtful. Cabin was perfect for what we needed. Campground was quiet and closed to restaurants and Walmart. Will stay again.
Great time, Close to town. One problem my niebor didn't do a good job cleaning up after their dog. And it's cable was long enough to hit the other sites.
K N posted a review 5 days ago. This person is spot on! We are here for a one night stay. The park is full because of a truck event happening this weekend. We lost power this afternoon and they were quick to fix the issue. Thank you! We are staying here again on our return trip at the end of August. Lots of seasonal spots which is ok. I just wish they didn’t make this look like a trailer park because this park has a ton of potential to be a great park!
Convenience is what this RV park has to offer as it’s located close to Carlisle. Most the RV spaces aren’t that great, while the nicer ones are reserved for long term residents. I stayed here for over a week while I was in between houses. My space was very small and hard to fit my 30’ 5th wheel into. The spaces were arranged 90 degrees off a small access road and narrow, barely wider than the width of an RV. B/c of the space width, my entrance door lead right to a low laying area off the gravel pad. Every time it rained, this low laying area turned to mud and I had to pass through a mud pit every time I needed to enter or exit my RV. Also, my full hookup site didn’t have a water spigot and I had to share with the space next to me, which put the water connection on the wrong side and barely in reach. Some of the full timers living here take pride in their setups, but others look like they belong in a homeless encampment.
This park has a lot of potential. Recommend the owners invest in modernizing some of their tighter spaces; regrade at a 45 degree angle off the road to allow for longer rigs and facilitate easier entry, widen the pads, improve drainage, ensure hookups are strategically located at each site, and clear out the homeless encampments.
