The room was clean, comfortable, and put together well. Rooms were a little bit on the small side but left it feeling cozy rather than cramped. The bed and pillows were soft and supportive. The front desk staff were friendly and informative. The location is near the interstate so easy to drive to, but did mean there was a near constant hum of cars which could be annoying at times.
My family and I have enjoyed the Western Village many times over the years. It is a great place for locals to go have a meal together, and the steak house is amazing! The rooms are reasonably priced if you need one, also.
We’ve stayed here a few times on our way through town. Always great. This time, not so much. We got in late, around 12:30 a.m., got some food and went to sleep, probably around 2:30. At approximately 8 a.m. A TON of noise started coming through the ceiling, marching feet, back and forth, what sounded like furniture being dragged around, heavy objects being dropped on the floor above us. This went on for about 30 minutes before I called the front desk. She explained that the housekeeping room was directly above us and she would ask them to quiet down. They did. For about twenty minutes. Then back at it. I even stood on the desk to pound on the ceiling which quieted them for another five minutes or so. Fed up, I got dressed and went to the front desk to ask for e refund. No dice. They offered me a late check out in the room with the noise issue. Gee thanks. I said we paid for a room to sleep in peacefully and had not received it, we would like that money back. The manager said the best she could do was refund me $25. I said that seemed ridiculous since we did not receive what we paid for. She said we stayed in the room and that’s what they provide. She also said they have never had a complaint before which I find impossible. We thought tweakers were square dancing above us. A horrible stay, no compassion from the front desk manager. Guess we’ll find different accommodations next year.
We got a killer deal on our room through an online service!! This room could have easily been double or triple the price!! Everything was very clean and well maintained!! Beds were comfy and the room had a refrigerator!! We ate at the on-site Mexican restaurant and the food and service was top notch!! I will definitely be staying here next time I'm in Sparks or Reno!!
It is quite surprising. It is a bit dated, but the rooms are rather roomy and very clean. Mattress was comfortable as were the pillows. Well worth the price. There is a truck stop next door but I heard nothing.
Restaurants were very good as well. Worth it!
Cheap rates, spotless room, comfy bed and linens, nice firm poly fill pillows (instead of the flat down ones at “nicer” hotels), hot shower. What more could you ask for? For a 3 star hotel I give it 5 stars.
Great place to stay for reasonable price in comparison to other hotels in the area. It’s great that Casino building is separated from the hotel building by a short pedestrian walkway cross the parking lot. Great location near the man made lake with a very calming and beautiful walkway around the lake for outdoor activities. Seems like a nice neighborhood in comparison to down town Reno. I would definitely stay here again.
A bit outer from downtown, no real card games..reception is not in the same building where the rooms are..which is a bit confusing..rooms are nice and clean...ample self parking space, nice view outside the hotel, many option to dine in the casino
