I've eaten here since i was a kid and it's always been delicious. The people who work there are so nice and have worked there a long time. Everyone there really seems to care about the food & customer.
I got the buffet & the fried chicken and fish was perfect, loved the hush puppies and the dressings for salad are homemade. Place is VERY clean too.

I went to eat with my family 10/24/2024 and the food was nasty no flavor the bar was full of what looked to be old food. I made a plate with cubed steak rice and gravy with some rolls the cubed steak tasted as of it had been cooked with the liver and the rice was way over cooked so I didn't eat that plate went back and got hamburger steak and mashed potato's. The first bite of the hamburger steak and a hair was in it . I asked for the manager and she was polite but did nothing to compensate at all. $90+ and all I got was thank you I will take it off thr bar. I am a kitchen manager at a buffet restaurant and I told her that and that I understand that sometimes things happen and how was she going to compensate me she simply shrugged her shoulders and said thanks again I'm going to go take it off the bar and she never returned to my table never so I'm out over $90 and still hungry at this point. This is not the way to do business and keep guest happy. The manager should be retrained in guest services cause she sure don't know how to handle a problem correctly. I just wanted to get my money for the one plate returned since I didn't eat and had a hair in my food. She offered nothing no even an apology nothing at all. The food was old and the bar was not kept up at all and she being the manager should have been more aware of what the food was looking like and made sure it was fresh and hot not sitting out there looking like 3 day old leftovers. I will NEVER go back to this place and I will be sure to let everybody I know how bad it was. They could've had a repeat guest but she blew that by the lack of concern for her guest and the condition of her food. It won't let me give no stars so that's why they got 1.
First time I’ve been to western steer in over 25 years! I wish that they would get rid of golden corral and bring back Western steer all over! Even able to park our semi there to eat!
I use to come here as a child on Sundays the food use to be soooo incredible
My husband and I just left and the 5minutes we were there felt like we were in a freakin twilight zone. I didn’t even captured pictures and I hate that I didn’t. The corn omg I’ve never had corn to turn into straight mush in my mouth the Salisbury steak or whatever it was looked like banquet Salisbury to be honest it was so watery I just dnt know! I definitely should’ve asked for our money back nothing on that bar wasn’t even worth the $40 that we paid. We will definitely will not be eating here ever again. Just in total shock
AMAZING COZY BUFFET with tons of tasty choices! This place has been serving up Comfort foods for 45 years! And I love the old music from the 1940s they had playing. If you get there before 3:00 p.m. it's only $10.99 for all you can eat! If you're a down-home cowboy like me, you'll love it . . . Check it out!
Amazing food here. Great service. Everything is very clean and organized and also feels like home. So glad to have stopped here and will aim to stop again anytime I’m in the area.
Food was too expensive to begin with, both chicken and steak were undercooked but black on the outside. Baked potatoes weren’t hot enough to melt butter and the side salad that we were told could be one of our 2 sides were $2.00 more per plate. $38.00 for beef tips, chicken tips, 1 tea and 1water. Thats crazy. Wait staff however was great. Won’t be back again.
I grew up eating at Western Steer and it used to be one of my favorite places to eat! But this past visit will be the last visit here. The food wasn’t bad or good, it was ok. But for what you pay for it, we could have went to Texas Roadhouse and ate and at least at Texas Roadhouse you get all the rolls you want. If you get one to take with you here by gosh they will make you weigh it and pay for it. I’m not kidding either. SMH! It doesn’t matter if you just paid $18.99 for some sirloin tips with a baked potato. Our waitresses were great. We couldn’t have got better waitresses than the ones we had but we weren’t impressed with the manager. I think she needs to work on her customer service skills. Customer service goes a long ways and even if the food was just ok or bad(which is wasn’t), if you have great customer service people will still come.
