Best WLM Reviews
Room was creepy. Wondered if there was a camera behind the mirror that took up the whole wall behind the beds. Had a room with 2 Q beds but only had 1 towel in the room. The toilet plugged up so I got a plunger and it kept plugging up so I went to the front desk 2x but nobody to be found. There was a note at the desk that they had to go to another property. I wasn't able to find anytime so we had to plunge the toilet all night. The room has a odd smell and wants all that clean or impressive. When I went to take my dog out the side door, I realized the side door didn't even lock so anyome could have walked in off the streets. It was a very easy accessible from a busy road too. They shut down breakfast 15 minutes early.
Disappointing Stay - Cleanliness Issues
Rating: 1/5
I recently had the misfortune of staying at this motel, and unfortunately, my room was in a deplorable state. Upon entering, I was greeted by a lingering smell of must. The bed sheets appeared worn and had suspicious stains, making me question their cleanliness.
The bathroom was equally disappointing, with soap scum covering the shower walls and buildup on the shower head. The toilet looked like it hadn't been properly cleaned in weeks. The sink was clogged, and the floors had not been properly cleaned after multiple occupants.
For the price, I expected a basic level of cleanliness and comfort. Sadly, this motel fell far short. Until they address these issues, I would not recommend staying here.
I initially planned on leaving a four star review because upon arrival it was inviting and clean. The rooms were adequate and the amenities were good. The only 2 things that could use improvement were a disconnected smoke detector and dingy colored sheets/pillowcases. So we really didn't have any major issues.
I then decided to drop it to 3 stars because a problem occurred during the stay when our room was not cleaned, serviced or touched over the 3 days we stayed there. I had to go down to the front desk EACH DAY to say nothing was done in our room. I was given towels and supplies to restock it ourselves each time. On the first day the gentleman made a note of it, on the second day the young lady was very nice and actually tried to call someone for assistance.
You charge people a "cleaning fee" that never happened so why should I be charged for it? I sent an email after our return, explaining everything. Never got a response or comment so it was dropped to 2 stars.
We stayed there because of its location to our friends. Not sure if that will happen again.
I stayed here 15 years ago and unfortunately nothing has changed. This is a worn out hotel. The bed was comfortable and clean, but the bathroom was dated and needed a refurbish. Breakfast was very minimal, even by hotel breakfast standards. I won't stay here again. The room was cheap ($100) and the hotel drew a lot of contractors that need to watch their costs.
We required special handicap services and were provided every thing we needed. Staff was so helpful and facilities were very clean and modern. We will stay there again.
An older motel, but clean and service oriented. I had a beautiful mountain view from the 3rd floor. Good parking, within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Near highway, but did not hear highway noise. King suite was laid out nicely with separation of dining table and sofa bed by the counter bar that held microwave, refrigerator, and some dishes. A great work space desk and window seat. Towels were not plush, amenities non-existent, such as no clock in room, but lighting was good. Breakfast was mainly cold cereal, coffee, and juice. I was a little curious about the room length mirrors by the bed....
Respectfully, this hotel is nowhere near worth the $123 I paid. Sorry. It is not disgusting as some reviews imply, the bed was comfy, and the hotel staff were so kind and accommodating. However it is old, has some plumbing issues (the sink spurted water all over the bathroom), sticky, and clearly has some parking lot security issues. With the choices in town, this was the cheapest I could find which was really shocking. This is a $60 hotel all day and would be great stay for that bracket. If you are headed to ABQ up from the south, STOP IN BELEN! Don't keep going to Los Lunas and screw yourself out of an extra $70 like I did :)
Excellent service and perfect location. Next to I25, Walmart and lots of places to eat close by. Fair price. Plenty of parking close to entrance.
