Just as we remembered from years ago. Ordered sirloin tips, potato plus food bar for a total of about $15. Good tips and plenty ofcsouthern dishes. Never went to a buffet that had peach, apple, blueberry and cherry cobbler along with a multitude of other desserts, salad bar and other hot items. Only negative was ice cream in cups but too soft. The freezer was set way too warm or not working properly.
Food and service were excellent! Can order off the menu or do the buffet. Some of us chose to order from the menu and others did the buffet. The servers kept coming, giving us any everything we needed. We waited at another restaurant for almost an hour because of graduation day but we chose to come here because there was no wait and it was the same when we arrived. No wait. We got in line to order and pay for our meal, sat down and ate. Highly recommend this restaurant.
In our opinion, it was not worth $40. It seemed promising with it being literally packed with no tables available but once we sat down, and got our food… there wasn’t anything special about the food. My husband didn’t even finish his plate and I only had 1 plate that consisted of a piece of fried chicken, some burnt hush puppies and some sweet potatoes. It just wasn’t worth all the hype that is in the reviews in our opinion.
I love me some fat back and they had some. The thing is the ones they had out when we got there had been sitting out for a while but I didn't kno that. I like it salty and crunch. Instead it was mushy and saltless but not tasteless. It tasted bad. Good thing they had banana pudding. The dessert is what set it off for me.
My husband and I ate dinner buffet tonight and everything was delicious ????. The fried chicken was hot crispy and cooked to perfection paired with the lima beans and fried okra was well worth the price. The buffet had a variety of options to choose from including a taco bar, dessert bar and salad bar.
Cafeteria style grab a platter and go ahead right to the two where they take your money they give you a ticket and you pay after you eat so it really is wonderful because you can be sure that if you’re not happy, someone will know about it and I’ll take care of business, I chose the buffet and it was wonderful. It was right about $16 and I got all like wanted to get and it was all good food prepared correctly. Golden corral should be really careful what they do because this could take over.
Not at all what we expected. We walked in and didn't know where to go, so I asked, and the lady at the front rolled her eyes at me. Then we need silverware as we didn't see any when we ordered our food. we asked where to get it and said we had to go back to the line. There wasn't any, so we asked, and they said right there, pointing to an empty buck with nothing in it. Then we asked, "Do we wait?" The lady stated we have to roll more. ok, in the meantime, what do we eat with? After the 2nd person rolled their eyes at us, we just paid the bill and left. We will not be back.
It was my second time going to the restaurant and having the buffet. The first time it was great! Every was delicious but, this time I was very disappointed. The seafood boil was terrible as was a squash casserole. Even the cabbage wasn't as good as before. On the other hand, my brother got the thick sirloin and he gave me a bite and it was delicious! Maybe next time I go I will just buy a steak since the buffet may be hit or miss. The wait staff is very good and polite.
