Best WLM Reviews

We came for first time for Thanksgiving. I am pretty picky and struggle with buffets due to medical. Our father was hospitalized so it was him and I and a friend of us. The service was REMARKABLE and happy to be open on a holiday. It was amazing. The owner was so caring and loving and sacrificed his family as all other servers for others. This place made my heart warm. At the end of day, we lost our parent but this place gave us peace during heartache and showed love of strangers. Hands down to each one here! -Loretta
Easter Sunday treat. The special 10 oz ribeye with a baked potato, a trip to the salad bar and dessert was excellent. This was very busy and the customers and staff created a home like atmosphere. The steak was perfectly cooked and the buffet was well stocked. I hope to return soon. Friday is a seafood special.
Went in on a Monday for the seafood buffet. What can you expect for a buffet? The food is good when it's fresh and hot and not so much when it's been sitting a little while. I enjoyed everything I ate. My only wish would be that they have cold shrimp for cocktail sauce. Definitely ate my money's worth ????
Shout out to Miranda! She's always a great, attentive server and hard-working...sweeping, wiping down tables, and stocking napkins on her down time. Sherry S. is a sweet, friendly server and hard-working leader. The front staff are friendly as well. We drive from Wilmington and Raleigh to eat steaks here and see Sherry and Miranda. Steaks are usually better than higher-end restaurants and prices are great. The salad bar is mostly fresh and delicious! Best ranch around! The toast is hit and miss with being burnt and lacking butter though.
Ate with a small group of adults here on a Sunday. It was packed but service moved quickly. Food was hot, delicious and there was a variety of options on the cold and hot buffets. Servers were busy but were kept our drinks refilled without asking.
The food was so delicious. The waitresses were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our lunch. So good! Can't wait to go back.
Incredible Breakfast!
First time having breakfast here and it was an awesome experience! Such a great variety of choices to choose from to the point it’s hard to decide. You will love it ????
The atmosphere is great but I gave it four stars because the furniture and decor is a little dated.
I'm used to rural buffets and all, but this was oddly disappointing.
Food: Sadly, with such limited options compared to an average Golden Coral, I only really ate a few things. I'd say the fried chicken, sad little fried shrimp, baked chicken, and some other items were decent, like a 6/10. Didn't taste off, was always fresh obviously, but other than that pretty much all side items are subpar.
Buffets aren't known for amazing sides, but in this case they straight up will put out anything for the lines of hungry people to eat anyway. With only like four buffet islands, and a bread/dessert isle, I don't really get the buzz about the place. People come to these places because it's the only decent buffet for miles and miles, or they have nostalgia, and prefer it anyway. I'm sort of the same way about Golden Coral, but this place is inferior to an average Golden Coral in every way possible.
Service: Pretty nonexistent, mostly because it was stuffed with people. Even then, they still go to our drinks and all, but we had to track someone down to get more plates. I say the service was a 2/5 because there were staff coming out and trying to top off a lot of food items, even when it was full, sometimes causing a little mess, or holding up the line for a minute or more. This isn't the waiters or most of the staff's fault, but they failed to keep any decent amount of turkey available in the first hour of lunch starting, on Thanksgiving.
For a place that I assume has been over for 5+ years, if not well over 10+ years, they are oddly unprepared for Thanksgiving. Poor organization of food items, no labels AT ALL, so you better just eyeball it and guess if that's a chocolate muffin, or a blueberry muffin. The buffet islands are oddly positioned, people say you can just go where ever, but lines form and it becomes chaotic. Lines colliding with each other, people squeezing to get out of a corner made by the staff on accident I assume. And when there's some giant people walking around, it can be annoying, because it also makes it harder to get food and go sit down. Had to wait to just get my food, and not like a 30 second wait, like two minutes of waiting for the long line to circle around an island, while another line is colliding with it and making it hard to know where to line up at.
Atmosphere: It's old, but not in a charming way. It wasn't dirty really, I just don't really enjoy the stuffy claustrophobic atmosphere. It's the sort of place you know won't be around in 10 years, they maintain an old building well, but once that nostalgic fan base in their area dies out or leaves, they won't have anything. I don't intrinsically dislike old themes and all, I just didn't like the vibe. Golden Corals are an example of how to move forward and not just merely survive. They update their appearance, but still have some charm to them. I hate to compare this chain of buffet to Golden Coral, maybe if it was a local spot and not a chain buffet, I'd say it's unfair to compare them, but they are literally of the same breed.
