Planned my mom's 75th birthday supper and decided to go to this Western Sizzlin. They were very accommodating to our group of 13+ and even setting up one long row of tables for us to all sit together in their Sunroom area. We were allowed to decorate lightly which was nice. We had the most amazing and attentive server, wish I could remember her name now, but couldn't be more thankful for her and her excellent top notch service. She knew what we needed before we even knew!! THANK YOU SO MUCH for your hard work tonight. I really hope that you and the other staff there enjoy the cake I left behind for you all. And thank you WS for providing a wonderful meal in a great clean dining room. It was all a fantastic experience!! Rodney S.
So basically all this place is, is a small buffet and you can order a meal if you want. I feel like it was a bit overpriced for a small buffet. This is more like a 1 time place to go to. You go for the experience and never come back.
Love the service and it reminds me of old steak houses I visited as a child with my parents. Some food has no salt added while cooking but there is always some in the table ???? Daughter had a blast and wait staff catered to her which I loved.
Food was good. Service okay. Atmosphere, packed! It was on a Sunday. Had the chicken tips with rice @13.00
Found feathers on chicken, food was cold, and terrible service. When asked about the chicken, the manager said they just throw the chicken in the fryer with no extra cleaning just a rinse and cook. Over priced $30 for two people, and they dont give any compensation for anything wrong with the food. Poor management, flies, everything else not clean about a restaurant especially for what you pay. Floors are dirty. Just a unsatisfying experience, especially when the manager said they do no extra cleaning to their food besides rinse it off. If they did that for the chicken imagine the other things the other food does not go through to be prepared correctly to get on your plate. Never eating here again period, and advise you all not to eat here. Would give it a no star rating but Google doesn't work that way. They need to inspect all food that comes from their vendors more thoroughly before it gets on someone else's plate. I've seen other reviews on this place and the food is not as good as it seems, no variation of food choices or variety. Not worth the money even for 2 people $30 is top much if I wanted over priced I would have gone to golden corral where I knew alot of food was.
I havent eaten at a WS since I was a teenager. The food was delicious, the wait staff was awesome and the kitchen staff kept the buffet fully stocked. Excellent restaurant. We will definitely be back!
Great food, good prices, a Danville tradition. The Steak and Shrimp was fantastic. The shrimp was fresh and crispy without being rubbery. The steak was a good cut, cooked to a perfect medium rare. Service was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Great experience.
I was pleasantly surprised at how dang good this food was! Ate there today for lunch with my mom, and everything was fantastic! Everything on the buffet was very fresh. Salad bar was great! Hot bar was great as well, from the fried chicken, roast beef, meatloaf, to all of the various veggies, we ate until we couldn't hold anymore lol.
As of 6/13/2023, lunch buffet price was $10.49 for adults and $9.49 for seniors age 62+.
We will definitely be back again. The server was great to top it all off ????
