I have never had the experience at any restaurant than I have here.
The rating is low as possible. I'm sorry, but not sorry for leaving this review.
The food was awful. Everything had a box flavor with staleness.
Now sweet tea was the best.
Photos attached are great but the food wasnt..
2 stars because my hostess/waitress/server was polite.
I was passing thru from Atlanta to Huntsville and on an impulse thought I'd stop here. The parking lot was fairly crowded with about 10-15 cars at a glance, this is always a good sign for a buffett. I decided to enter.
I was seated within seconds of arriving and after placing a fairly complicated drink order of a half and half sweet tea, i proceeded to the bar to make a salad.
I was impressed at the variety of toppings and all actually looked fairly fresh. I started with the fresh spring mix to make a bed of greens and then went to the iceberg lettuce for a combination of a foundation. The iceberg lettuce looked shredded as if it doubled for taco greens. Really difficult to make a salad there.
But still.. little did i know, this was going to be the best part of my whole meal.
After finishing this, the server was amazing with keeping my drinks filled, I decided it was time to make my main plate. I walked all the bar selection and found that i was not going to have to pick one to eat, but better yet make a selection of the least awful looking. I chose some mashed potatoes (how could they be wrong, theyre instant) green beans, okra, a small piece of fish, steak, and turkey.
The turkey tasted like lunch meat. The fish was rubbery, and the steak.. ok the steak is singlehandedly the SOLE reason for this review.
On the outside, this steak was disguised as a good looking backyard bbq steak. It looked and smelled just like what i pictured it would be, until i bit into it. Wait.. i could have given this to my great grandmother (God rest her soul) and she could have gummed this with her teeth out. Have you ever put cracker in your mouth and sipped water, felt it dissolve into mush.. BOOM.. western sizzlin steak. And no, im not bragging. It was like steak flavored sand, I honestly couldnt spit it out. I had to take a half mouthful of tea and swish it around to attempt to remove all the debris .. I was done. I wanted nothing else from here.. and truly worried that from what I did consume, I will dreadfully pay for later.
God bless the servers in there, they all seemed to be extremely attentive and polite and friendly. I hope the best for them, as if this restaurant continues like this.. they will be out of a job. Once again, 2 stars ONLY because they ladies worked real hard to distract you from the real problem there.
They have a good buffet with healthy options and unhealthy options depending on your preferences. The restaurant had a lodge type feel to it.
Awful Service! We had been here 10 mins and she brought our check and has not checked on us since. I am very disappointed in this place. Instead of doing their job they are in another room doing each other's hair. Do not waste your time or money! They do not deserve Any stars but since one is the lowest you can give. There ya go.
Very clean, with fast friendly service. Buffet has a nice variety and tasty. Definitely good for the price of food.
Good food, good service and a friendly atmosphere. Have good discounts also and a great dessert bar.
Usually avoid this particular place on purpose. My daughter wanted to go here for her birthday dinner and I was pleasantly surprised. We both ate steaks and potatoes off the buffet and we were not disappointed. However the waitress didn't bother to refill my drink until I was completely done with my meal and I had to go to the counter to pay for my food without a ticket because it was never brought to my table. Overall though based on this visit I would come again.
The macaroni was delicious. However they were out of chicken tenders, so that was an important part of my meal missing.
The cookies and various desserts tasted bad, like there was something wrong with them. I don't know why, but I let my mom taste it too and she agreed they were weird.
Maybe they were supposed to be that way, maybe not.
Pretty good selection.
Not the cleanest place, but not dirty.
If you order something off the menu like a steak you might have a better experience, but the buffet wasn't for me.
