Best WLM Reviews
Not exactly what I expected (my first time)when I walked in the greeter didn't explain the system. You have to order your entrees at a counter similar to a fast food restaurant where they give you your drink and the receipt. When I mentioned to the waitress that I had never been there before, she took the time to explain to me that "there are two salad bars, one with fat-free dressing and one with regular salad dressing and that both salad bars have different items on them, make sure to look at both" there is also a soup and baked potato station with all the fixings for your baked potato. The wait staff was very friendly and efficient. I can't say enough good things about them and my steak was cooked perfectly
Nothing special. No hot bar. Only salad and dessert. Steak tips rolls and potato wad fine. Cost was okay. Probably cheaper than fast food. Wouldn't rush back but was decent.
Like others that have posted, Western Sizzlin justed to be in my home town. Nice to find one while traveling. Very reasonably priced versus steak places charging $30-$40 a plate. Makes take a family out to eat more affordable. Hot bar was not available. In that I haven't been to a WS in years, it could be available on the weekends. With that said, the salad bar, soup and potato bar and dessert bar were well stocked. If you are expecting an mid to high end steak place experience, this is not your place. If you are looking for very nice people, good food that is reasonably priced, and a down home feel this is your place.
The restaurant is a little dated but the food is very good and a good value. It took less than 10 minutes to receive our food after sitting down. Our server promptly brought us our rolls which were warm, soft and flaky. Steaks were cooked perfectly and the included dessert was great.
This would be a great place for lunch, dinner or anytime you want a good steak in a hurry. We will definitely be back for more. Sorry, I forgot to take a picture but will do so on our next visit.
The servers were friendly, upbeat, energetic, and very efficient. And not just our own, Ami, but the others who helped take care of us as they went by. My sirloin was tender and cooked perfectly. The only thing that cost them a star here is the desserts, which didn't taste particularly fresh. Not bad, just not fresh. But I'll be back.
We ordered the Sunday special. 10 Oz New York baked potato, salad bar and dessert. Steak was ordered medium well and came out well done with alot of fat. Baked potato almost tasted like it was reheated. Salad bar is small but had everything we needed. Desserts......Best thing was Pecan pie. This was first time and will be our last. Not a very good experience. Our server was nice though.
Food was cooked perfectly staff was truly friendly the honey sale at the door was a breath of fresh air, nobody there just the honestly policy.
Drove almost 30 miles to go there. Told her we all just wanted the buffet and was told they no longer have the buffet which was the whole reason for going. Their ad says buffet and the menu in the restaurant says buffet but...no buffet! We order and our food comes out on metal prison plates and looks like frozen warmed up food. Didn't even eat but 2 hard as a rock, tasteless butterfly shrimp. Got some vegetable soup and scooped up a half rotten carrot. Everyone was looking at us like they've never seen black people as we were the only ones there. Only plus to our dining experience was our server who was cheerful, helpful and accommodating. It was a waste of money, time and gas. Lesson learned. Never again!
