Took family on the Polar Express and it was Amazing! Staff were so friendly, very welcoming, and also talented with acting/singing. And Cumberland is a very beautiful town with lots of history! Definitely worth the trip!
I booked this trip for my 2 sons and their wives and my 5 grandchildren. We all had a great time and enjoyed it so much. We are talking about taking another trip next year. The Santa was the greatest. Everyone did a great job. I was so happy that we all had a great time.
We had a really good time on the polar express ride. The cast/employees did a phenomenal job for our kids and making it feel real. Accommodations were nice and each kid got to have special moments, which was nice. Music was great and they had done a nice job decorating the train! The only thing I took a star off for was that the toilets on the train were out of order. We have younger kids so I was worried if they could make it through that time frame getting hot chocolate and all. If that was fixed I’d give it five stars. I’d give 4.5 I’d that was an option.
My family and I, 9 of us, booked the Polar Express in coach and had a great time. My grandkids loved it. Where we sat the lighting was dim except the above garland Christmas lights and it just added to the ambience of the experience. After we received our golden ticket and had it punched, we listened to the story while the actors performed with a storybook showing pictures, we sang, the actors skipped and danced down the aisle, had our hot chocolate and cookie, and received our magic bell from Santa. We truly enjoyed the ride to the North Pole then back to the station. It’s definitely worth a trip if you never had, for all ages, but the little ones just loved it. This may become our annual tradition.
We did the Polar Express train ride. Everything was very organized and a smooth process. We went into it with zero expectations and were blown away with how magical it was! We enjoyed every moment and talked about it for days after. Pure magic that made you feel like a kid again! Everyone has to experience it at some point. We went on the 5 pm ride so got a good mix of daylight and finished the ride after sunset. We felt it was the perfect time. Can’t wait til next year to do it again!!!
We had a wonderful time! Scenery was delightful. Lunch was delicious. Our waiter, Jacob, was very attentive and informative. The carriage museum in Frostburg was very impressive. Also the C & O Canal National Historical Museum at the train station was very interesting.
It was mostly pretty great. We enjoyed the ride overall. It was relaxing. This was the trip from Cumberland to Frostburg.
Many folks were confused over which coach was which...simple magnetic signs would have made boarding so much easier. There was a lack of directions in general. Then, because of wet leaves on the rails, so we were told, the train had to travel quite slow. Understandable, if it was a safety issue. But that greatly shortened our time in Frostburg, which was frustrating. Couldn't the time have been adjusted? The shuttle wait was also too long as it took three times till we could board. Some of this could easily have been circumvented by encouraging the more able folks to climb the stairs. A map of the area (Frostburg) would have been great, not to mention a sign at the stairs saying where they went. It was only a five minute walk, for Pete's sake. A lack of communication was evident and made this experience less gratifying. Too bad. It could have been awesome.
I cannot say enough amazing things about our crew, specifically Chloe. She was so charismatic and made the Polar Express experience magical for my boys ✨️ Everything was so well-planned and coordinated, yet the staff was easy-going and accommodating with all the kiddos. They put in a ton of effort to bring this story to life and it really showed. Even my husband who just goes along with whatever I plan had a great time, haha! Thank y'all so much ❤️
