Location was a short walk (about 6 blocks) from the Old Town Transit Station. Front desk staff were great and very helpful. I was clean and quite comfortable for my stay - great bed and a good shower. The room was kind of basic but it had everything I needed, including a fridge and microwave. The breakfast was “continental”that included a hot waffle. It was fine for me, but if my wife had been with me, there was virtually nothing gluten-free except cereal. Adding a little variety and even some sort of protein would have been helpful.
Very cute, clean hotel very close and walking distance to Old Town itself, nearby restaurants and the public transportation station. Room had everything we could ask for-fridge, microwave, a cool ring light mirror in the bathroom. My daughter and I enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay again on another visit! Close to the airport and main freeways.
The hotel location was very close to the marine recruiting base of where my son was graduating. The room was adequate and basic. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The service was dependent upon the different staff during the different shifts. Some were very nice, helpful and accommodating. Most of the staff during the day shift seemed to be the most friendly. Overall, the stay was satisfactory for the price. ????????????
Hotel is old, but recently remodeled. Rooms were pretty clean, with a microwave and refrigerator. Customer service, front desk, was great, very accommodating. The staff offered restaurant coupons and discounted entertainment and amusement tickets. The building has easy access to the freeway, and free handicap parking. It is also surprisingly quiet, recommend the third floor. We'd stay again.
The location was great. Very easy walk to restaurants and shopping. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. She gave us coupons for restaurants in the area. The room was just OK. Our air was messed up, and it leaked all over the floor. We didn't have time to wait for maintenance so we dealt with it. I have had lots of free breakfasts at hotels, but this one was pretty bad. There was not one source of protein. It was muffins, cereal and waffles. No fruit either. The rooms were clean and served their purpose.
The staff was helpful and accommodating. The hotel is just minutes away from our base. The rooms were quaint! Clean! They were updated and had refrigerators and microwaves. The bathrooms were updated. The outside walls were old style but blended well and showed Old Town well and gave a well glimpse of San Diego. Staff helped with a minor glasses emergency and were overall just very accommodating, kind and generous!!! Would recommend for anyone coming in for MCRD area, just minutes away and easy access. Discount for family too!!! They will work with you on check out if you need it. They were awesome!!! Great place!!!
The room was very spacious and well kept; however, their breakfast was poor. Not much was offered for breakfast. Easy access to the freeway and was within walking distant to "Old Town San Diego". Housekeeping was friendly and accommodating.
Stayed 5 nights. Reasonably priced, good location, clean and comfortable. Check-in and check-out were both quick and easy. We parked in the garage (a little tight when there are multiple vehicles) which cost an extra $15/ night. The breakfast was limited and carb heavy: waffles (cooked for you), bread for toast, small muffins, oatmeal, cold cereal, juice and coffee... but the patio was a pleasant place to eat it. You can faintly hear the national anthem being played at 8 AM on the navy base ( I assumed, but could be the marine corps recruit depot).
