Stayed here for an overnight visit because of a nearby concert. It was excellent! Check in process was efficient and quick and they gave excellent customer service.
The room was also very clean and nice. I was on the first floor and the window was able to be opened for a bit of fresh air which I really loved and appreciated! There was a train track right next to the building on the rear side, but no trains passed through the entire time I was there so it may be an inactive track or simply had nothing scheduled for the evening so it's something to keep in mind-- personally I love trains so I didn't really mind it either way.
Also the shower had the best water pressure of any hotel I've ever been to which was a definite bonus.
Breakfast was included with options for waffles, toast, bagels, cereal, yogurt, as well as a fruit basket with apples. I got to breakfast a bit late so there may or may not have been more earlier but regardless it was perfect for a quick and filling breakfast.
I really enjoyed it! If I ever am in the area again, it's definitely somewhere I'd stay again, especially because the price is so good for such a nice room plus breakfast.
The rooms are always clean along with the rest of the hotel. Breakfast is a pretty good spread. Jay the guy at front desk is amazing. He's kind and very helpful. Stayed in many hotels in council bluffs area. This one is our favorite.
With the road constructions it seemed a little tricky to get into. But we figured it out. Rooms were clean, staff was always pleasant & smiling. My hubby enjoyed the coffee. Guests upstairs were a bit noisy but eventually settled.
The place is kept clean and in good condition.
The staff is friendly. The staff was able to provide clean towels as soon as requested in exchange for the dirty towels. There was black coffee all day. There was a microwave and a fridge. There was an ice machine on the first floor. However, the accommodations are very basic. For example, the pool was a little chilly and the pillows were small and a little flat. No meat or eggs for breakfast.
The hotel was right off the freeway and made travel easier.
I had a terrible experience staying here. Apon check in I was asked to give card to keep on file for in case of incidentals, I was charged at that time for $200, for said incidentals. When I got to my room later in the evening, I found that the TV was not in working order, and asked the front desk if we could be moved to another room, although she was nice, she was of no help. In the morning I was sleeping, and had a late check out time for 12, the housekeeper walked into my room and informed me check out was at 11, it was 10:50 am at this time. Only to have the front desk man to call the room and remind me check out was at 11. I then reminded him I had a late check out. And now I am upset, I hung up the phone he called again, and when I did not answer, I was met with knocking on the door, and when I opened the door the front desk clerk/ owner pushed passed me and into the room. He wanted to argue about the not working TV, and refused to entertain the idea of comping the room charge. And continued to hurrass me. I gathered my things quickly and informed him I would not be staying there again and I would be telling everyone I knew of that this hotel is not a good place to stay. I was very unhappy, and after leaving the hotel I then found that my card had indeed been charged $200 for incidentals that I did not have. I feel violated, and hurassed as well as feeling robbed of my hard earned money. I am not at all happy about any of my trip and my stay with this hotel. And I am still dealing with trying to get some of my money back.
WARNING!!!! The only thing good about this place was the lady at the desk. She was nice. Now to the rooms. The beds were like cement. My sinks didn’t work and toilet didn’t flush. Carpet was stained. Only 2 of the 5 lights in the room worked. I had to fix my tv. Will never stay here again!!! Worst hotel Iv ever stayed in!!
Traveler beware! This place is a dump. I wish I could give it a lower rating but I can't. The hallways had mold in the ceilings. Room was hot with a/c not working. Another room the a/c was so loud. Still another room the toilet seat was painted (and chipping) to hide urine stains. Sheets in all three rooms were dirty. No elevator. This place was disgusting and a bit of a nightmare. The "manager" wanted to argue with us. We looked at three rooms before we said enough and left.
We arrived late after a long day of travel, and our first room had a strong mildew smell. The front desk lady moved us to a new room, but it was clean but worse. The window was broken, wires were haphazardly hanging, and doors to storage areas were left open, one of which showed roof access. Spoke with the front desk person this morning and they were aware of our rooms condition. I apologies were given. Overall, a very disappointing experience.
