Best WLM Reviews

The location is 40 min drive from Yosemite entrance. We've hoped for larger restaurant variety but unfortunately some were closef/very slow.
Dated rooms, could use some renovation. Didn't have a special view so can't comment. Rooms were kept clean and the a/c was great.
Place is fairly good for the price compared with the other overly expensive motels in the area. I'd give it a 3/5 stars but the price is better than most in the area and it is not to far of a distance from the national park entrance.
There's plenty of parking. And up the street there's a lot of food options.
Employees are nice and helpful.
No roaches in the bedroom. The showers have that net guard to reduce the amount of water flow. The warm/cold water only lasts 5 min and then the water flows out to almost nothing. You have to keep it on hot. The cold air works great. The rest of the room is not the most attractive quality, but what do you expect? I'm just using this to sleep in before I go out to the park.
If they're not going to maintain the pool in 90⁰+ degree weekend weather, then remove the pool entirely from the property. There were dozens of bugs in the water, and more bugs in the spa PLUS a huge roach floating on the water. I doubt they drain the pool to clean it. Yuck.
Bed sheets were clean and no sign of bed bugs.
Free wifi that's strong enough to play TV shows on Netflix.
The Sunset Point with the river/lake is a VERY beautiful place to see during sunset. Just a few min down the road.
Location is the only reason you'd want to stay here. Rooms are big, floors are hard surface (not sure if it was wood or vinyl). The room was dirty and I saw a cockroach running around! ???? Water pressure in the shower is very poor and it takes a good 5 minutes until warm water starts to flow!
Old, Dirty and BEDBUGS
Unfortunately, we had to rebook to this hotel at short notice. The rooms seemed old but okay. I noticed some long dark hair in the towels. However, when I was falling asleep, I noticed an insect. At first, I thought it was an isolated case, but then I saw another one. BEDBUGS. Judging by the reviews, it seems this problem has existed for some time. Disgusting! I really hope we didn't bring any home, as we immediately put our suitcases in our car. Absolutely not recommended!
Attention to bed bugs We rented this room because it was close to the park. We travel with a small child. And despite the fact that we found these worms, the manager did not want to give us the money back. After a long time when I said that I would write him a review, he gave me the money, but not all of it. Then another customer entered the hotel and asked what was going on. My wife said that there are bugs in the bed and they don't want to give us the money back. Then the Manager charged the fee again. I told him to give the money back then he called the police.
The room was clean and the bed was fine. BUT when I arrived the temperature outside was 101 degrees and the room I was given on the second floor (with no elevator) had windows wide open, no A/C running. I immediately turned on the A/C unit, unfortunately the unit took hours and hours to cool the room. I was told not to turn the unit below 70 degrees, and there was a paper taped to the unit stating I WOULD BE CHARGED $25 EXTRA PER DAY if the unit is on while not in the room. WHAT???? ALSO THERE IS NO DEADBOLT ON THE INSIDE TO SECURE YOURSELF SAFELY IN THE ROOM! Any maintenance person or employee has free run into your room while you're in it! Not okay, especially if you are a solo woman like I was.
Owner please note that it takes more electricity to compensate for a 30 degree temperature difference than if you would just leave it at say 80 degrees ALL THE TIME.
Clean- yes ✔️
Staff- polite ✔️
Bring your own fan! They only had one to spare and it was for the front office.
No xtra charge for running the AC while you are gone, shower temp was either freezing or boiling hot. Bed was like sleeping on a cardboard box. General grimey feel. Breakfast was toast and the nastiest coffee I’ve ever had. Price gouging due to the location to the national parks, pay a little extra and stay at the comfort inn down the street. As soon as I walked in I was looking for other available hotels.
This hotel did everything it was supposed to do. It gave us a place to sleep and shower. I wasn’t expecting a classy hotel, but we paid $230 to stay at this place due to its location, and it definitely wasn’t because it was nice. The guy working was very friendly; it just seemed a little too laid back. The guy didn’t write any info on our room card, so we had to double check we were going to the correct room, and then had nowhere to drop off the key in the morning since their office isn’t staffed so we slid it through the lobby door. When we came into our room it was pretty hot from the ac being left off, so it took about an hour before it got to be a comfortable temperature. There’s no breakfast at the time I’m writing this. The pool seemed very nice!! Again, the proximity to the park is super convenient. It was about a 10-15 min drive to the entrance of Sequoia. I’d personally be more willing to pay extra to stay at the nicer hotel down the road next time.
