I really enjoyed this hotel. Valet service was a little slow to act, as I had to ask them to valet my car. Front desk was fast and efficient. Bar made good drinks. Room was comfortable and quiet. They had me at the top floor in a corner room, so it had a beautiful view with large windows. Kind of a cool wrap around room. It’s right on the golf course, too. Next time I hope to try out the pool.
Wonderful hotel. Had a great week of meetings here. Staff is super helpful. Hotel was very clean. The hotel bar and lounge area over looking the golf course is super cool. The pool is really nice but spend the money to heat it. The Marine Layer over Manhattan Beach makes it very chilly for most of the day.
I booked with points. Still got hit with a $40ish ‘resort fee’ that essentially locks you into eating breakfast there as the fee can be applied to food. The room had really loud|Unstoppable AC that could not be stopped and room that was somehow still hot in December. Bathrooms are super outdated. Rented bikes that was another up charge of $30 per 2 hrs. Bikes were rusted and old. Door knock ant 9:30 am woke us up. Pool was smallish. All in it was ok.
Nice location and a great place to spend a quiet weekend.
The did charge us an additional $100 after we checked out for no reason, they just increased the room rate by $100, kind of slimy move.

Pretty standard room for LA.

- Check your billing as some locations have employees that do things like add to your bill to generate more profit in the hopes you don’t check your bank statement.
- AC wasn’t very cold
- Balcony door was hard to open
- No Netflix / Prime / Internet TV
- An older location trying to hold onto its former glory.
Amazing service from Evelyn (PM Server)! She went out of her way to make my stay perfect! She helped me several nights in a row, and made suggestions for delicious food on the menu. She informed me about breakfast, so I could grab a coffee & a muffin prior to leaving at 6:45 a.m. She brings a true positive energy to her job and goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable and at home. I am an ambassador Marriott member and travel throughout the US for work, she is an exceptional person and Marriott is lucky to have her.
Long drive, cranky maltipoo, and I was so weary. So grateful for the amazing staff. Made check in quick, very good instructions on where to walk the dog and most comfortable place to hang out and unwind after being stuck in the car. Breakfast the next morning was wonderful on the patio, with a fabulous heater above, and large chairs so that my puppy could sit next to me. Definitely will return.
Rafael at the front desk was so kind to help me locate my Iwatch that I had left in another room. While he had security search a different room (I had the night before), he made sure I had a free fresh cup of coffee, while I waited anxiously. Low & behold, the watch was found. Rafael was kind and amazing, as well the security man on the shift on the morning of Sep. 4th. Great hotel and staff. Lovely views as well. --|Wendy B.
This hotel provided a terrible experience. As soon as we checked in and reached our room, we had to check out immediately after discovering a POOP LEFT IN THE TOILET. The staff offered no apologies, and Natalie at the front desk displayed a poor attitude when I requested a new room. Additionally, the front desk manager, Cenovio, was neither helpful nor apologetic about the situation. It’s clear that being an Ambassador Elite member with Marriott means nothing to this hotel, as they do not seem to value loyalty or guest satisfaction.
