I went in to the emergency department with severe headaches and I was out in about 4 hours or less. I didn’t have to wait long, the test results were pretty fast and all the staff/ nurses I encountered were very friendly.
The only thing I didn’t like was that the doctor gave me Tylenol after I told him it hasn’t been working the last 2 weeks and he didn’t really suggest a better solution after my CT Scan showed some sinusitis. I’m now back to experimenting different medications on my own but I’m glad they didn’t dismiss me and actually ran tests to rule out anything majorly alarming.
I would rate this experience at zero stars if possible. The adult entrance emergency front desk staff displayed a shocking level of incompetence. The two women working the overnight shift on Friday, November 22nd, were among the least helpful individuals I have ever encountered. We were left waiting for over an hour, and there was no effort made to assist us, despite the urgency of our situation involving a critically ill family member. The doctors required additional information and were actively searching for us. Even the nurse who came to locate us expressed frustration at the front desk staff's lack of responsiveness. It raises serious concerns about the hiring standards at this hospital. The behavior exhibited was exceedingly unprofessional and disrespectful.
Wish I could give zero stars. Sat here for TWELVE (12) hours with a misaligned spine in an hard chair and ended up leaving in tears because even after 12 hours they told me it would take even more hours to get a scan. Wasn’t even offered a pillow or water for 12 hours. I understand it is a trauma center and they have bigger problems, but they need to be HONEST with patients about wait times and redirecting them to different emergency rooms. The nurses were some of the most rude I have ever experienced, they genuinely don’t care. After waiting 8 hours and asking for a time estimate I got nothing but eye rolls. Not just to me but to every single person complaining. There was not one happy patient I could see. Do NOT go here unless you are actively dying.
The nurse in the front is over her job and looked at me like I was dirt for having heat stroke (I don't even think she understood me or I was an annoyance). I had a fever that was going up and there is no care. They just don't care here. No triage! You could be dying and have better luck at home saving yourself. Go somewhere else. A place like this is not the place to go when you are sick or dying. A sorry excuse for a hospital. The bathroom has no paper towels or toilet paper... Just a cherry on top.
The response from the hospital is boilerplate. If they wanted to change they would've changed years ago when the one star reviews and complaints started coming in. You have to fire every single person there and revamp the whole place.
I had to visit a relative after an incident, and it took a total of three hours to be discharged, even after receiving the necessary scanning and medical tests required to leave. It made it seem very short staffed and disorganized for an emergency room.
We didn't manage to get in in 7 hours. In great pain. The style of the dark-skinned lady sitting at the counter is 0. These people were just seated at the counter, but they have nothing to do with healthcare. I am deeply upset. We will never go there again.????????????We talked to a nurse to let me get at least one pain reliever. She promised. Nothing happened either
I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF POSSIBLE. The staff was extremely, extremely, extremely rude. Not helpful at all. Completely wasted my time. I sat there waiting for hours only to be discharged with no help received. Patients who come to the ER are already stressed enough and this place only increases their stress and problems.
I also wish I could give zero stars. If you are in an extreme amount of pain and you don't know why, they will not help you. Each time I've gone for myself I felt like I was punished for coming, and eventually not helped. WMC only works if you are in an obviously life-threatening situation, and even then you have to constantly stand up for your pain. I've wasted so much money at this hospital for almost no helpful care. They won't help you diagnose your problem unless it's obvious, so go somewhere else.
