Best WLM Reviews

Used to be Buffalo Bar & Restaurant, now Westbound & Down - great bar area with old western style one and a new modern one, so take your pick. Decent selections on the menu, and the food is outstanding! The prices are high, but cool mountain bar for a drink or meal on the way to-from the mountains. Great service by all the employees!
This had recently changed its name or bought out the Buffalo Bar & Restaurant next door, but we decided to give it a try anyhow. It was upscale and posh and had a simple menu. My burger was a standard cheeseburger with fries, but it was juicy and very tasty. The fries were crisp and meaty. I enjoyed my meal quite well. The service was very attentive and pleasant.
This is one of my favorite places to go to in Idaho Springs. I always stop by here after skiing at Loveland and Keystone or hiking around the area. The atmosphere is great and the setup of the restaurant/bar is ideal for a quick stop in and eat or just have a drink.
Modern and spacious brewery with plenty of bar seating. The reasonably priced draft beer comes in half-liter glasses, and the chicken wings were absolutely delicious.
Overall, it was a good experience that I may try again. Buffalo burger was good, but I am happy I got the aioli on the side. However, water glasses were dirty and the service was laggy as the server got overloaded with tables with limited support. Vegetarian friend said the Tofu Katsu was great. A bit pricey.
This was my first time coming here after it was recommended by a friend. It had a nice atmosphere and lots of open space to sit. They also had outside seating in front of the restaurant. We arrived around 5:30 pm. on a Saturday, and it wasn't as busy as I would imagine it to be.
My spouse ordered the Seared Ahi Sandwich with fries and pork grinds. She said it was really delicious. I had the Gem Salad with Seared Ahi. It was really good with both the Calabrian dressing and honey mustard for dipping into. The CalabriaIn dressing is a little spicy.
I only wish if they had more items on the menu for non meat eaters.
Would I come again? Maybe...
As we left, the Brewery side was beginning to get busy.
Westbound and Down offered a great selection of beers and some western comfort food. The only negative was a long wait for a table.
The prices here are high, but the food is good. The Buffalo burger hit the spot! Hefeweizen beer tasted pretty good as well
