Best WLM Reviews
Our server was sweet and funny. A sense of humor is greatly appreciated by me. Our orders were correct and the food was great. My only complaint is the sausage was a little greasy, but it still tasted great. The restaurant has all kinds of interesting artifacts to look at. We enjoyed our visit here. If you are a trucker, let them know.
Let me start by saying that I have no idea how this place has gotten anything less than a 5 star review. The food here was AMAZING!! We started out with the chips and salsa and the salsa tasted homemade, it was awesome! I had the Navajo taco and it was seasoned perfect and just plain delicious. My wife had the garlic burger and she said that it was outstanding. The wait staff were super polite and really on the ball. The restaurant was really clean and so were the restrooms! Really good place to eat! We will definitely be back tomorrow for dinner and every other time we happen to come thru this area. Keep up the great work yall!
I like food thats served HOT!! My food was barely warm! The only thing that saved my plate was the GREEN CHILI they have here....New Mexico Hatch Chili!! Delicious!!!
Wonderful little restaurant just a bit off the interstate. Very friendly folks and the food was great ... and at a very good price. As one who hates the lock-down (and masks) I also loved the greeting as we entered.
Traveling on Thanksgiving is almost a guarantee most places will be closed for the holiday, as they should be. But we are so grateful West Winds was open to fill our hunger and provide an excellent meal and great service. Lisa did an amazing job serving us and indulged our strange request. (Turkey gravy on their awesome French fries is a must!) Thanks for the hospitality!
Wow, I can't express how disappointing this resturant was. I thought I was offering my family better than fast food on a long road trip.
The menu looked good, then the food came out.
The vegetable side was mushy canned peas. The french toast bland. But the worst was my wife's pork chop, which smelled of rot. To the extent that the rest of us couldn't enjoy our food.
I'm floored that a resturant would cook meat so far past the prime.
The waitress didn't come back to check on us until we were checking out. She didn't charge us for the pork chop, which I appreciated, but early checking on us after dropping the food would have maybe saved the meal.
I had ordered breakfast to go since my family and I were staying at the KOA and just passing through. Their breakfast was fantastic, pancakes were hot and fluffy. The french toast and eggs were very delicious and their sausage was good too. They thought of everything and included utensil, sugar, creamer, salt, pepper, maple LOTS of syrup, and whipped butter.
We stopped here for breakfast during a weekend getaway. The staff was very welcoming and attentive. The food was delicious! Thanks to everyone at West Winds Restaurant for all your hard work!
