I highly recommend. This place has everything. An awesome indoor pool with lap swimming, lazy river, awesome slide. The temperature is nice and I did not notice any discomfort. The facility is clean. The staff were friendly. There’s a full access workout gym. There’s a full court basketball indoors. There’s a play place for kids. There’s a rock climbing wall. You won’t be disappointed. I’ll be back.
I go the gym Daily here and I enjoy it. But recently I had a new born and was exited to see they offer a daycare. Well if you are a Latino male in your 30’s do not try and apply to leave your kids at the day while you work out because they just give you the run around. I was told the applications are at the main desk than the main desk told me they are in the day care than the daycare says it’s on line and than they aren’t accepting new applicants. I find it very offensive terrible treatment of others
Great place for a Martial Arts Test for the Royal West Martial Arts upstairs of the fitness center.
I will say staff is great and I enjoy all the services, especially the water aerobics, my only real problem is the locker rooms and family dressing rooms. They are pretty nasty when compared to other rec centers. The vents are loaded with dirt and dust and the floors are pretty yucky in my opinion. They dressing rooms/ showers could really use some TLC. Next time your in have a look especially around the walls and boarders. I just feel with as much money as they have coming in that they could afford better janitorial and maybe a lot more care with those floors. They locker room was out of commission for some time a while back due to remodeling the showers and I was really disappointed by the results. If it wasn't for the center being so close to my house I would definitely go to a different rec center. And I feel these issues to be fixed very easily and the center would look so much nicer and be more pleasant to visit.
The life guards were great. They have a great pool area for smaller kids, a small lazy river, lap lanes, pool area, small kid slide, large tube slide and a hot tub. Make sure you take quarters for the lockers or bring your own lock. They also sell small locks for $10. That's a rip-off. Not sure why they can't rent them or give change from a debit transaction. That's why the 3 stars. Besides that it was a good experience
Good rec center. Everything is nice and clean. We had a double booking for racket all courts but they figured it out and made it right.
SCAM. The contract states you can cancel your membership, but it’s a 12-month contract. If you cancel after six months, you have to pay the remaining six months fees upfront when you submit the cancellation letter. This is clearly outlined in the contract, and it’s surprising they’ve gotten away with it for so long. This policy is a scam, especially since unexpected life changes—like moving to a different city or health issues—can occur within a year. For a state-funded facility, this is PREDATORY, concerning, and WRONG. Do better. What should happen is to let people cancel without penalties. However if you’re going to punish people for needing to cancel their contract a small cancellation fee, of like $25, would be more reasonable. The way this facility is structured is unbelievable and wrong.
I have frequented West Valley Fitness Center for a few years now. My main focus is the cardio machines. When a machine breaks, they have it fixed quickly. There is always enough cleaning solution & paper towels to keep the machines clean. I enjoy the variety of machines to work out. There are about one dozen TVs in the cardio area on different channels which is nice to have options if you want to watch TV. The indoor track is small but serves its purpose. All though I do not use the weight room very much it seems to have plenty of weights and is also clean!
