Best WLM Reviews

The doctor was amazing Dr. Dragon, which is why I’m giving him one star for his amazing and great and comforting personality and help but the office staff sucks. I’m supposed to get a stent removed two weeks from my kidney stone removal. Today is a day before two weeks and they still don’t have a follow up appointment set for me. I keep getting the runaround and being told I’ll get called back to an appointment set and haven’t heard from anybody. This is gone on for two weeks now and the stent, as anybody that’s had one would know it’s uncomfortable And they still can’t get me an answer and it’s the day before my two week mark and they don’t care at all. I would highly not recommend this facility based off the staff not the doctor.
1 star is too much. Their answering service and secretaries are extremely rude, and lazy. We have called since June and still no reply as to why they can’t resolve the issue. And when they do answer the phone they are rude. I called one time and swear I thought I called a sex line I was shocked and confused thinking I called a Dr’s office but their answering machine voice sounded like a sex line
Fair warning: if you wake up the day of your appointment sick (and probably contagious!), and reschedule, this place will charge you $100 and you will not be forewarned. I had to reschedule twice, the first time I woke up with a sore throat and fever, the 2nd time I admit was my fault,; had the appointment down for the wrong day. After rescheduling the 2nd time, a staff member called me and informed me I owed them $200, $100 for each reschedule. I understand that practices sometimes do this. Yes, their time is valuable, however, $100 for a reschedule with less than 24 hour notice is a bit excessive, especially if you are sick and trying not to spread illness to people who may have possible issues with their immune system.
I hate that I have to give a star, they should have negative stars. This practice is the worst. I had a procedure done in April of 2023 to bust up a kidney stone. My son was scheduled to compete in a golf tournament the next few days following the procedure and I asked if it would be ok to go since it was in another town I was told yes. I came out of the procedure ok and even though I was in pain (which is to be expected) I was cleared to go home. That night was one of the worst ever, I was throwing up and in so much pain I could not sleep. I tried to call the office the next morning to see about pain meds and was either hung up on or placed on a round of holds that eventually hung up on me. When I finally talked to someone they sent over a prescription. Got it filled it helped but was still in pain. Over the next few days I kept saying something didn’t feel right I should be feeling better. The day came that we left to go to the golf tournament. We made it to the hotel that night and man I was sick and feeling every bit of the car ride. The next day I started feeling dizzy and disoriented and thought it could have been from the days activities. That night I went to bed with a weird pain every time I took a breath on my left side. The next morning it hit, something was wrong. Every breath I took on on my left side hurt and I looked 6 months pregnant. I made it to watch my son and by the end of the tournament I was in tears and could barley walk. I was rushed to an emergency room in Fort Worth and was told I have a 6 inch hematoma on my kidney that is bleeding and that I would have to be hospitalized. It was determined that the procedure to bust up the kidney stone caused the hematoma. I was told as long as I did not spike a fever I should be ok to go home in the next day or two after the hematoma was able to stabilized. Well that night I spiked a fever and began the testing to determine if i had a bacterial infection from the procedure, I was placed on high powered antibiotics via IV. After 3 long days I was allowed to make the long drive back to Midland. During this whole process I had desperately tried to call the doctors office and was constantly hung up on or left on hold until the line hung up. The last night in the hospital the staff called to schedule my follow up and I went off, explained that I was in the hospital in Fort Worth and that they would never be touching me again. We made it home and one of the doctors called that evening and began asking me what I did to cause the hematoma, I told him your office is the one that did the procedure and that there was no way I could cause a hematoma like that. By far the worst experience with them ever. It has been a little over a year and I still have to have follow ups with my doctors in the DFW are to check on my kidney, make sure that there is not any further damage, that my function is improving and now due to how poorly this procedure was done I know have high blood pressure as a result of it. I will NEVER use this office again.
While my doctor is great, I am giving this one star rating because of the office staff! I have been trying to contact the office for a week now via telephone. I call multiple times a day, and other than the automated system answering, the phones go unanswered by the office staff! There are things and issues that need to be done via the telephone. I simply can not go to their office whenever since I live in another city. I plan to talk with my doctor about this issue next time I go in for my appointment.
Extremely poor management/ patient care, no follow up with test results, impossible to get ahold of the office- not answering their phone for days. Totally agree with all the reviews!
Update: even though i still believe the office management needs help there ( was there the other day and the phone was ringing for 15 min and no one cared to answer)..BUT I am really impressed with Lindsey, PA! ( I have seen Dr, and another
PA. there previously). She is knowledgeable, caring, up to date with treatment options, helped me to be seen promptly when I was not feeling well a couple of times. If you go there., see Lindsey! You won’t be disappointed, I give her 5 starts! She is a fresh breath of air at that place!
They seldom answer their phone. To put this into perspective; On one occasion, I called for 3 days approximately 8 times/day at various times of the day. No one ever answered. On another occasion, about 4 times per day. Finally got an answer on the 3rd day. The organization of this office has a lot to be desired. Understaffed and/or poorly staffed???? ...Can't imagine what their medical records must look like.
Never had so many problems getting set up with a follow up after having surgery!!! It doesn't matter if you love your doctor here or how good they are if you can't get the front desk to answer and they never call you back. So you take off work to show up in person and they can't even make an appointment because their computers are down. You would think if it's bad enough that they actually have to post signs on the front door for people to be nice to the staff that that would be a clue to the manager and doctors that they need a set of new staff. Do not waste your time, no matter how good you hear the doctors are. You will be sorry. I have been trying to get a surgery follow up for nearly three months with no luck. All they care about is getting your money, then they ignore you.
