Wow! Dr Wong is so rude. My appointment was at 3:30pm. I asked at 3:55pm when I would be seen. So they finally took me back to a room at 4:05pm. I asked when the Dr would be in because I had to pick up my daughter. Well shame on me for asking. Dr Wong came in very quickly but was so rude. She was inconvenience that I had RK surgery. Her comment was “so much for this going fast”. During the 5 minute eye exam (I’m not exaggerating on the time), she complained that I kept changing my mind on which slide was clearer (those who have had eye exams know those things are tricky) and told me I had blood vessels in the front of my eye. God forbid for her to explain what that means, so I asked her what do we do about that and she said “Nothing. It’s permanent”. No sympathy, just rudely. Seriously these are my eyes!!! She even said she didn’t know if my prescription would be correct. When we were done with my exam (did I mention my 5 minute exam?!?), she walked me to the front, gave the paperwork to the front desk girl, and walked away. Not a thank you…. a good bye... nothing. Do yourself a favor and don’t come here. If you do, be prepared to wait patiently or she will make you pay!
Great friendly and energetic staff and tech, and Dr. Wong was very knowledgeable. I showed up 15min early and still had about an hour and fifteen minute wait before being seen by the doctor (which they acknowledged and apologized for).
If the wait time was fixed, it'd be 5/5!
This was the worst optometrist I have ever been to. My appointment took two hours because they were overbooked. They tried to get me to buy contacts for $800 before giving me my prescription for glasses. (Which they are not allowed to do, it’s the law to hand you your prescriptions before trying to sell you anything.) I was not anticipating spending over two hours at an eye exam and when it was time to pay, the lady at the front realized I was running late to pick up my daughter from school, and she went even slower almost on purpose. Two days later, they called me to make sure my contact prescription was good and I said yes but did not want to buy my contacts through them. The lady on the phone hung up on me and did not let me know when I would receive my prescription. A week later I called them to see if my prescription for contacts was ready and it was not, so I urged them to email it to me and they finally did. Once they realize you do not want to buy products from them, they will disregard you. Also, their cost for contacts is almost twice the price than other places. So please do not buy from them! They also do not disclose all of the hidden charges in your exams, like pictures of your eyes (that were an extra $50.) Dr. Wong seemed flustered and overwhelmed, speaking ill of other patients to me which I thought was very unprofessional.. Please just take your business elsewhere. A simple eye exam should not be this stressful.
I came a few months ago and Dr. Wong to me was rude because I was honest and said I hadn't seen an optometrist in 4 years with a lazy eye. Imo you should not have a bitter attittude towards patients for that reason, like I was busy with work and school. It's really none of your business why a person hasn't seen an optometrist and you should treat them as kindly as with other patients and be non-judgmental imo. However, my mom did have a great experience with her. The staff was great and the person helping me pick my glasses was so sweet and patient. However, I don't feel like going with her again, specially when there are other optometrists.
I love Dr. Wong, she is amazing. But if your appointment is at 11am be prepared to be seen at 12:30pm. Always, always, always NOT on time. My time is worth the same as your time. Please schedule your time a bit better. Please ????????
I was here for 90 mins. I asked beforehand if I needed to arrive early, they said no because I provided all of my info already, so I arrived 5 mins early. I only did my eye exam, I didn't look at glasses because I was here for so long. Most of my time was spent waiting, which was unfortunate because it was my first time here and I was excited.
The optometrist is very kind, and so are the support staff.
HOWEVER, the extreme waiting times, inexperienced support staff, and glaring administrative disorganization coupled with my 90% certainty that they are not filing insurance (either at all or properly) completely decimates any redeeming value of this practice. I was quoted $650 for a singular pair of single vision Ray Bans frames and offered a 20-25% discount due to my insurance as if that was a favor to me. My insurance covers a minimum of $200 per pair, so even 25% wouldn’t have covered that.
Do yourself a favor and find a different office where you won’t be waiting for 2+ hours, refused a full eye exam unless you pay out of pocket (for services covered by insurance), and buy your glasses literally anywhere online. I recommend Warby Parker or GlassesUSA, you’ll save at least $400 USD.
Highly recommend Dr. Wong and her staff. They are very kind and extremely professional. They also take plenty of time with their patients and very helpful answering all your questions. Eye Glass selection is also very good!
