Best WLM Reviews

We had a wonderful meal at the West Shore Inn. We enjoyed their Thursday night special. Prime rib meal for $24.99. It included 2 sides, but we also ordered the creamed spinach, which was delicious. The hot antipasto was great! Parking is challenging since their parking lot is small, but it was worth the effort.
Seems this location has been here quite a while. I was in the area on business and this was recommended.
Up front my only gripe was lack of parking but it's NY and it is what it is.
The service was excellent. Good menu choices and entrees were enormous. Take home for 2 days.
The place holds to the tradition of a good steak house.
Business was brisk for a Wednesday!
I would definitely come back as I enjoyed the food and chatting with the friendly staff. It seems like a really nice neighborhood place.
Loved everything we had for dinner. But ordered death by chocolate to go… and it was tiny and wasn’t as chocolaty as advertised. No chocolate chips… only two layers. Was so sad when I got home to eat it. Super light. Shouldn’t be called death by chocolate. It was more like a whiff of chocolate. Hand for scale.
We had a reservation for 745 pm and they sat us at 8 so that wasn't a great start. They also sat 3 tables before us so I'm guessing they are really bad at time management. Also the booth they gave us was the one closest to the door which had a bit of a draft. The seating in the back area is probably better.
When we sat down our waiter greeted us with water which is always a good way to go to your table, and then the service was ok.
The waiter forgot my diet soda but when he saw me as he walked by he remembered that he forgot so he brought it eventually, but then when we got dessert he forgot my water.
Most of the food was just ok, but the prime rib was perfect. The bacon wrapped Brussels sprouts were also amazing. The truffle Parmesan fries were not the best, but they did make me want to keep eating them. The cheesecake I got for dessert was good but it could use a syrup or strawberries or something to add to the flavor. It was better than most places but felt too plain. Finally the cappuccino was not really great and the fish on it was a bit like soap water.. not in taste... Just a bit bubbly.
I would go back for the prime rib and the Brussels sprouts, but I hope they get better with their reservations.
I got the seafood fra Diablo
Good flavor, large portion and spicy sauce was not over the top. I will get it again. Lauren was on point
Our server Ryan was friendly and social, which was a pleasure to converse with. The ambiance is also quite warm and relaxing, with dimmed lighting to enhance the dining experience. The French onion soup was very flavorful and came with a generous amount of cheese, so definitely recommend getting one to warm you right up! The escargot was extremely disappointing. As you can see in the picture, the liquid was not butter as it usually comes with. Ryan confirmed this with the kitchen staff who informed him that it was water, garlic and pesto. We both looked dumbfounded because escargot usually comes with butter, garlic, and parsley/pesto, so the water made the entire dish very diluted and bland.
For our main, I got the west shore burger where for its price, was pretty worth it since it came with a big piece of crab cake. The composition that made up the crab cake was interesting, but didn't really capture my interest. The overall dish was just mediocre, and I think maybe enhancing the sauce might complement and tie the crab cake and burger together more smoothly, for they didn't really pair together that well in my opinion. My wife got the Lobster N King Crab Legs, which came with a GENEROUS amount of meat as you can see in the pictures. Unfortunately, it might've been on the grill for too long since it was overly dry and not juicy at all, making the meat kind of tough. The lobster was also unfortunately overly charred, leaving the tough lobster meat also bitter in some areas.
We really wanted to start the new year strong, but unfortunately this experience was only just decent. However, I do believe West Shore Inn Steakhouse has amazing potential to do so much better; perhaps because today was new years, the quality of the food suffered a bit. Overall, our most enjoyable experience was conversing with Ryan, who kindly empathized with the suboptimal dining experience. I wish West Shore the best, for I believe there may be other foods more satisfying.
Thank you for reading and best of luck! (:
Wow, that's how I feel about our meal and service.
Our server Lisa was friendly, personable, and attentive.
The hostess seated us straight away and was super friendly.
I ordered the 24oz bone in Ribeye medium.
It was cooked and seasoned perfectly with a beautiful sear.
My girlfriend had the Chilean sea bass with the sauce on the side. The sear and cook on the sea bass was done perfectly, and the side of sauce was so flavorful. This is one of my new favorite go-to spots.
I can't believe I have never been here before.
I will definitely be back again very soon.
Kudos to the chefs and servers at the West Shore Inn Steakhouse. If you have never been here, it's a must try
Old time feel from a staple in Staten Island. Pardon the pictures of half eaten food, I did my best to make it look presentable. From Steak to Burgers and everything in between this place is a can't miss. It's not a fancy spot and kind of gives you the feel like you're in an upscale old West saloon without the dancing girls. Anyway service was top notch, food and dessert were great. If you're in the area go for it you won't be disappointed.
