This was my first camping trip as an RV owner! From the time I walked into the front office for check in and the time we left was amazing. The staff was very helpful with getting us to our camp site and getting set up. They have a pool which is very clean and the amenities are great. The sites are clean and very level, I didn’t even need my leveling blocks. Nothing like waking up to a beautiful sunrise with the lions roaring. I will definitely be back!!
Will be back! It's a nice campground with happy and nice staff. The pre assembled tent was easily big enough for a couple with one baby. That safari next door is huge! Fun hearing the animals at night.
The staff are very helpful and friendly. Even though we arrived after the office closed, there was a staff member waiting to guide us to our site. You can very clearly hear the lions and other animals at your campsite ... VERY COOL. The sites are a little close, but they have a lot of pull throughs, and our site was very level. The grounds are well maintained.
We had record breaking heat, so we spent a lot of time at the pool It is a large pool with plenty of seating and tables. Very clean and well kept. They also have a well stocked camp store. Buy your park tickets there for a nice discount!
The KOA entrance/exit is literally right at Lion Country Safari's drive-up entrance. Campsite-to-park takes minutes! Keep your receipt from the park's entrance and you can head back to your camper for lunch and then re-enter later that day.

Our stay at KOA Lion Country Safari campground was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with friendly staff who made us feel welcome and ensured our check-in was smooth and efficient. The campground itself is well-maintained, with clean facilities and spacious campsites that provided us with the perfect balance of comfort and nature.
Despite the cost, which we found reasonable considering the amenities and location, the value we received exceeded our expectations. The amenities such as the pool, playgrounds, and organized activities kept our family entertained throughout our stay.
The highlight of our trip was definitely the proximity to Lion Country Safari, where we enjoyed a thrilling safari experience right next door. Being able to wake up to the sights and sounds of wildlife made our camping experience truly unforgettable.
Overall, KOA Lion Country Safari campground exceeded our expectations in every way. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable camping experience with great amenities and exceptional service.
We drove through and spent the day there. We thoroughly enjoyed it. There was so much to do! I loved feeding the giraffes ???? best. It was well worth the drive, time, and money. Everyone was very friendly.
The cabin was clean and roomy, the pool was very clean and large. They had a basketball court, playground, laundry Matt etc. Everything was kept very clean. The customer service representative at the main office named Bonnie was not very friendly, very rude and not helpful at all. My family and I have booked many KOA campsites and always had exceptional customer service but unfortunately, this KOA with this specific person was not professional, friendly and lacked hospitality. I was very disappointed in the treatment that me and my family received from her. Although the customer service was not great with that specific person, the other staff associates were nice at the main office, everything else was up to par.
This KOA is located adjacent to the Lion Country Safari. While in and outside of our RV I could hear lions and other animals all morning. It was incredible. The sites are very basic. Hookups are in great shape. WiFi here is excellent by campground standards! There is a good discount on Likn Country Safari tickets if you are staying here. The Safari was so much fun we did it in the morning and then afternoon after a rain storm.
Location, location, location! Well maintained park with several outdoor activity spaces. We heard the lions right from our spot. The pool was lovely and the staff was very friendly. Make sure you purchase tickets at the store for a discount.
Two things that would make for a 5 star experience:
1. Spots are VERY close to each other
2. The bathhouse is NOT air conditioned and very warm. We went late May and early June.
