Best WLM Reviews
I have a mixed review of the West Omaha / NE Lincoln KOA Holiday.
We had booked one of their bigger sites and were informed prior to our stay they had shut off the water to this and some of the other sites.
The put us in a different, smaller site which was fine but didn't allow us to get comfortable. Once we were settled in and walked around we found several other nicer sites which seemed to have availability. Had we been in one of these sites we could have had a nicer stay.
Nice overnight stay on our journey. Level spot, easy to get in and out, quiet, friendly staff and surprisingly good pizza delivered to our spot. GPS does tell you turn in about 50ft early but they have a big sign if you are looking. They clearly have made a lot of improvements. We enjoyed our stay.
We stayed here October 2024 and I don't think we will go back here again. We arrived at night so it was dark and almost missed the turn (I don't know why they don't have lights by the turn or by their sign!) Staff helped us set up which was nice, but we paid for a concrete pad and nice wooden deck, to which our campsite had none of that! It was only gravel and very hilly which was awful! We told staff about how we were upset which they gave us 10% off (nice but not nice that we'd go back) Our campsite was also by the highway which was loud at night and annoying. The playground seemed nice but we don't have kids and they were doing construction with it. Also when we went to check out- there was no staff there to check out so another downside. I wouldn't waste your money going here especially with the high prices for shit camping sites. When we told staff we weren't happy with our campsite, they told us it was management's fault and can't really do anything about it. So let this be your warning, THEY ARE FALSE ADVERTISING ON THEIR WEBSITE!!
Friendly staff. Our pull through site was nice,
no issues there but its not the nicest KOA we have stayed in. The mini golf course was in terrible condition. Seems the worker's kids were running wild near the office. Laundry room was priced great, but should have more updated machines. Be aware the entrance was under construction so kinda bumpy. Also if you have a extra vehicle ($10 charge) they stressed to me I had to put it in over flow parking, but when I looked around multiple people had 2 cars in their site, seems inconsistent on rules.
This is a nice campground, where new owners are renovating. We stayed at the end of August for just one night. We arrived during a thunderstorm, so we didn’t walk around the campground or use many amenities. The people in the office were very welcoming, and the pizza made at the office and delivered to your site is great. We received an escort to our site which we appreciated. Sites are small and extremely close to the neighboring sites. The one thing that was really noticeable is that the sites are NOT level! Our site wasn’t level, and neither were any of the sites around us. This campground is right off the highway, so it was very convenient. Inside our RV with the AC on, we did not hear any road noise. The WIFI is absolutely SOLID which was VERY nice!
We recommend this campground; we hope renovations continue under the new owners and will include leveling sites.
We have been super impressed with all the KOA's we have stayed at this summer and this one is no exception. The staff is super friendly, campsites were super nice, facilities were clean. Honestly I was just expecting a stop over site as it was by the highway but there is a ton of activities for the kids. 10 / 10, would recommend. The kids are already talking about coming back.
A new build absolutely beautifully done. The owners embody hospitality and work hard to make this a little oasis. If you are looking for unique accommodations with a Chip and Joanna feel, this may very well be your next destination! Would definitely come back.
Solid four stars for a young family. Decent amenities for kids, small but adequate pool, mini golf, and play ground with a bounce pad. It is in the shade which helps on hot days. This is one of the first camp grounds where we have camped that the WiFi is actually decent enough to work off of.
Only downsides: traffic noise from the interstate, if you run your ac and don’t open the windows this is a non issue. Also, camp sites could use some more leveling, it looks like they just changed ownership and are investing the campground so hopefully this is being remedied.
