I only came here to get my TB Test done. It was a clean facility. It was never crowded whenever I came to get it done and examined. The customer service was fine with me. No one was rude or anything that stood out in a positive or negative manner. I would definitely like to see how well they do someday, one day, if I actually need something more than a test. The TB test was $35 then you have to go back again in 48-72 hours to make sure there are no signs of TB. They give you a paperwork printed as proof of verification. You'll need your driver's license.
My experience at west isle with my son was great he fractured his toe while playing football. The ladies in front were really nice and the wait wasn’t long at all the price wasn’t bad either since we self payed $245 bucks for office visit , X-rays, and a boot for his foot was a steal the lady doctor we saw was awesome no pa’s just mds couldn’t ask for more when someone is taking care of your child we will definitely be returning!!!
I walked in. The nurse was nice and the doctor was OK, but the receptionist has a trash behavior. My boyfriend heard her call me AND another patient with a respiratory issue stupid because I walked in at 9:45. I work in healthcare as well and I know treating people last minute sucks but it’s your job and I would never say that out loud about a patient. She needs to be educated.
2nd time here. Staff is great. They are quick & efficient here. They can run some basic tests here. Physicians and nurses are friendly and helpful. Great for cough & cold. Not sure if they do IV fluids here.
Had to take my wife here the other night for cat scratches that had become infected. Have used others in Galveston and I have to say that this was the friendliest Urgent Care that we have been to.
Office was clean and comfortable and there was only one patient in front of us. Only took about 10 minutes before we were taken to triage for BP and other vitals. Then directly to a treatment room.
Doctor Oakes arrived in the room after a minute or two. She was friendly, professional, and quite competent. She explained every step and even provided the first dose of antibiotics so we wouldn't have to go the the pharmacy until the next morning.
Will go back here in a heartbeat. And a plus...it's only a mile from home! Another good reason to avoid UTMB!
I felt very ill and had abdomen pain when I decided to get checked out at West Isle Urgent Care. From the moment I walked through their doors, I was greeted by friendly and professional staff. During my visit, I was impressed by the thoroughness with which they assessed my condition. They listened attentively to my concerns, asked good questions, and conducted a comprehensive examination. They explained every step of the diagnosis and treatment process clearly and simply. The doctor found out I had gallstones from the CT scan he ordered. Everyone from the receptionist, x-ray tech, nurse, and doctor showed so much compassion. The wait times were minimal compared to other urgent care facilities I have visited in the past.
I have gone to West Isle for years. I always received the best patient care here. Every time I’ve been tested for Covid at other places they come back negative and takes forever to get the results. I have currently tested positive for Covid again. I got the results within the hour. The doctors, nurses, and front desk staff are always kind and helpful. If you don’t need to go to an emergency room the is the best urgent care to visit. I will continue to return to West isle to be treated in the future. Thank you for always helping me feel better.
