My hubby and I stayed here, for a quick little one day getaway, for our anniversary. The hotel is pet friendly but I wanted to email them ahead of time to let them know that my disabled husband’s support dog will be with us. Great communication via email and great service from all of their staff. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas, plus they serve milk & cookies in the evenings! The free buffet style breakfast was amazing with so many food options. We booked the Premier Suite King bed + sofa bed. The room was very spacious, the bed was comfy, the pillows are to die for, and the entire room was very clean! The hotel sits about a block away from the beach. And there’s a gas station/convenience store next door as well as a cute little park across the street. The area is very peaceful, and we felt safe walking around day and night. You’re not far from Carlsbad Village, which is the city’s lovely downtown area, with quaint little shops, cafes, pubs, and restaurants. We loved staying here so much that we decided to stay another night. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

The hotel sits about a block away from the beach, plus you’re close to Carlsbad Village which is their lovely downtown area with quaint little shops, restaurants, pubs, and cafes. We loved staying here so much that we ended up staying another night. We will definitely stay here again in the future!
What a cute little gem near the beach in my own town. This is a home feeling and not a chain. The holiday decorations are so inviting. Dahlia at the front desk is very sweet and helped me get my heat fixed right away (or change rooms). Great hot tub. The cookies at 8-9 are amazing and what a simple gesture that just made me happy after coming in from dinner. Breakfast was great in the morning and included. I worked at a Couryard down the way once and this blows it away. Thank you for the lovely time!
Incredible stay! Everyone was extremely friendly, the room was great, very big, comfortable, CLEAN and quiet! The hotel was very clean as well and quiet. The included hot breakfast in the morning had so many choices to choose from, and was delicious! Milk and cookies at night was also a huge plus!
The hotel is about a 10min walk from the beach and right off the highway, great location!!! I have nothing bad to say about this hotel and I will be back! I highly recommend to anyone visiting Carlsbad!
This hotel and staff were awesome! The King beds were super comfy. Room was well equipped with a kuerig, good sized fridge and microwave. Breakfast every morning was great, lots of variety and very clean. Another bonus was the complimentary boogie boards, chairs and towels for the beach. Overall this hotel exceeded my expectations! Thank you!
This hotel is amazing. We walked in and it smelled so fresh and was so clean. The staff was super friendly and attentive. The room was very large which was a plus since we had 6 people in 1 room. The breakfast in the morning was so good and super convenient so we didn't have to go elsewhere. The only things they could work on is the gym (the equipment looked super old and dumbells were rusty and the room itself was dirty and dusty), the pool area (the pool looked very dirty), and wishing there was a shuttle to get to legoland. I believe there was one but then it was stopped...would have been super convenient since ubers are super pricey in the area. Overall the experience and stay was amazing, as I mentioned before the staff was very sweet and goes above and beyond. Thanks west inn and suites. I will for sure be back ????
I wasn’t sure what to think based on the website, because many places will hide their bad spots with their site, but I have been pleasantly surprised so far. The entrance is inviting and with floral displays in good condition. The front desk staff were cheerful and helped us out. The room itself was very large (double king premiere suite) and very reasonably priced. The free continental breakfast had a little something for my whole family. They have a shuttle to Legoland if that’s why you’re going (and let’s be honest, that’s why you’re here). Overall, the place is professional, nice, and well-maintained. Definitely a recommended destination with a family.
We are currently on our 3-night stay and I really would like to give them 5-stars but the only two complaints I had were that they don’t have bacon or biscuits gravy every morning for their breakfast buffet. Also, we had to ask for a new set of sheets so that we could change them on one of the beds upon arrival.
Other than that, the overall experience was excellent and I would stay with them again if they at least have bacon every breakfast, I could look past anything else.
The service was excellent and the staff were responsive to our needs. The hotel itself is nice. I do enjoy the cookies and milk they provide every evening as well. If only they had a milk alternative though for those who are lactose intolerant.
The hotel is not far at all from the Carlsbad Village and the premium outlets. I’d say less than 10 minutes of a drive-ish.
