Best WLM Reviews
It was awesome place So friendly nice and cool, great food nice selection brisket, sausage ham, pork ribs, catfish, chicken fried steak salad bar, dessert WOW price range was great
It’s a buffet as well
From beginning to end, this dining experience was horrible. The employees were obviously not happy to be there, the sign on the door said it was buffet only, but no prices are listed anywhere. The food was mediocre at best and then our $80 bill for 2 adults and 2 kids (ages 4 & 7) was the icing on the cake. $23 for a kid to eat some Mac and cheese and one chicken finger. Ridiculous! We definitely won’t be back.
Ladies here are great very attentive and always checking in on you.
They have buffet and menus options... we opted for buffet. All I have to say is Yuuuuummmm
The buffet is small but they have a nice variety.
Everything from salad, to BBQ to fried chicken, enchiladas and chops!!!
To quoted Joey from friends,
The corn! Good. Gravy good . Chicken good. Brisket good...its worth the visit.
My one recommendation would ve that if you're not hungry... you might want to consider menu vs buffet.
Salad bar had fresh lettuce and vegetables that made creating my perfect salad. The pasta salad was delicious as was the potato salad. Their homemade ranch dressing is hands down the best in Johnson County.
The selection of hot meats and vegetables didn't disappoint. Their smoked brisket is fork tender with a full body smokey taste. And I can't forget to mention that scrumptious BBQ sauce. My goodness, it hit all the right marks. Sweet, spicy, smokey, tangy, just pure deliciousness. The fried catfish was by far the best item on the buffet. Seasoned perfectly with crispy edges and fluffy white meat.
To finish things off, you've got your choice of cherry or peach cobbler or some old fashioned bread pudding. I added a dollop of butter on top of mine and finished every single bite.
The price may be a little on the steep side, but the quality of the food explains why. You really can't go wrong with anything you eat there because it's all great. Having a friendly staff that checks in on you and makes sure your drink stays refilled makes the West End Grill one of the easiest choices of restaurants to recommend.
If you haven't been there yet, I highly suggest you take the time to go. You won't be disappointed or leave hungry. Instead, you might need help walking your big belly back out the door when you're finished.
First time visiting, very down to earth, the personnel were very polite. Learned during the week there is a menu but on weekends it's a buffet. Very good food
Excellent customer service! Food was pretty good for buffet. Everything seems to be fresh and tasty! I would definitely come back.
The sides were good, but the meat had no flavor at all. It was very bland. The service was alright. We got some looks from the staff when asking certain questions, which was rude. I wouldn't go back. Definitely not worth $17 a person.
Easter 04212019 Had to take another star away for price gauging Christians. As if the prices were not high enough. For Reserection Sunday they charged almost $20. The only thing I noticed extra was some pie, dressing, gravy and some dried out ham.
Too high of a prices for my taste. The food is good quality but not thirteen dollars worth for lunch. If I pay more than $10 bucks for lunch it had better wow me. This particular visit was severely underwhelming. I usually leave regretting my visit for financial reasons
I personally have a budget. They used to be packed at lunch time. Maybe if they lowered the price a little they still would be.
