Updated review: Since my last review, I have come here twice, last week and today. Last week, same story, customer service was not good. No hello, just “what can I get ya” and no thank you or you’re welcome but finally, today, someone nice was at the counter and she even said you’re welcome! Glad to see the customer service is getting better or maybe I just got lucky with the girl who took my order because the other one who seems to be in a bad mood all the time, was on the grill.
However, still not impressed with what I’m getting for what I’m paying for. Today I ordered an everything bagel, paid then was told “we are out of everything”. I would have left before I paid if I knew that. Also, it’s like 11am on a Monday, why are you guys out of bagels? On a Sunday at 11am, completely understandable but on a Monday?
Also, I decided to not pay for extra bacon today to see what I pay for when I don’t ask for extra bacon. Well half my sandwich had bacon on it lol. Like if I wanted to eat half an egg sandwich and half a bacon egg and cheese, I would have asked for it that way. So sad, this place was amazing when it first opened. Latham bagel is more expensive but they load your bagels up and the bagels are unbelievable. Something about the bagels at west end have changed since they opened. I’m over this place. No more business from me. I will be moving my loyalty to Latham Bagel or Uncommon Grounds, heck I’ll even go back to brueggers before I come back to west end. Over it.
I get bagels here frequently to bring in to work. They are always a big hit and delicious too. The staff are friendly and put up with all my specific bagel requests, without issue. I personally like a bigger bagel and these fill my needs. Love the cheese bagel especially!
Space appears to be small based (lots of tables close to each other, bagels are no where near the register) on the crowdedness of the customers. The menu has original names and wonderful descriptions that you can read from anywhere in the space. The food is so scrumptious!! It is rare that I order, eat and then order for the road too. And I did this day. This young crew that work there is energetic and ready for your order. Wait time isn’t too much. I would go back for the food, so good!!
Nice local bagel shop. Freshly baked bagels can’t be beat. Stop going to the grocery store across the street for bagels when you can get them fresh here.
They open at 6. One can only imagine what time the employees start their days to get the bagels ready for us.

This used to be the best spot in the capital region. I don’t know what changed but it’s gone downhill in every aspect. Today, at 7am, I guess they “forgot” to make salt bagels and wagels- but don’t worry, they still charged me the premium for the wagel I ordered. They put the wrong cream cheeses on the bagels, even after I asked when they handed me the bag. I also appreciated that they worked the orders backwards- giving the customer behind me his bagel before even attempting to start my order. Incredibly disappointed and won’t bother coming back for a long while.
I used to pick up a bagel multiple times a week. The staff change has DRASTICALLY changed the quality of service!!! It’s awful!! And now- instead of being able to call in a bagel and NOT WAIT IN THE ORDERING LINE to pay- you can’t do that anymore… so then I was ordering through grubhub- AND NOW THE PICKUP BAGELS ARE BEHIND THE COUNTER!!?? I’m confused as to why this business needs to make things as difficult as possible for its customers.. iso new bagel place. So disappointing!!!!
We came here specifically due to the fact that they offer gluten free bagels (for my partner who cannot eat wheat). I ordered a regular toasted bagel with cheddar cheese and avocado. I was given an untoasted bagel with no cheese. My partner ordered an additional gluten free bagel to go, with a side of cream cheese to go. They gave it to him with the cream cheese already spread on it. Absolutely ridiculous. Had already left so didn't bother going back but what a disappointment.
One of my favorite local bagel spots but last 3 times I went I’ve been very disappointed mostly due to Errors in my order . I even check the receipt to make sure I ordered right but the receipt has not matched what I received . I was not surprised when I looked at reviews from the past month and saw many 1 star reviews .
The issue I believe is from the new staff, I can pretty much assume if my order will be correct or not by seeing who is behind the counter .
