Upholstery has seen better days, the salad bar and desert display seem to be after thoughts for their placements make little sense and it all contributes to making this place is absolutely wonderful. Tables, silverware, chairs, and facilities are clean.
We really enjoyed our experience here. Good value for tasty food. Good service. A definite gem to find on a road trip.
The food was delicious. The cheese cake was so so good! Chipped beef on toast was excellent.
Love this for breakfast ONLY and it looks like they cut down the menu which is great.
Other than breakfast or a burger, don’t really recommend the food.
However the inside while not dirty is very worn and the salad bar does look dirty. Hand dryer in ladies bathroom is broken and no paper towels.
GREAT waitress and they should use actual maple syrup instead of fake stuff like I saw go by.
Hostess was peeved that we didn’t want to be the only ones seated in the far back room.
They have done work on outside but it would be nice if flower pots weren’t just for dirt to put cigarettes in. Also it is very uncomfortable having to go by a gauntlet of smokers blowing smoke at people trying to enter.

The Westchester Diner is a solid choice overall. The food was decent, though not particularly spectacular. The salad bar stood out as a highlight—fresh and satisfying. Service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere added to the experience with a welcoming vibe. While it didn’t offer that "wow" factor you'd hope for from diner food, it was still enjoyable. I believe most people would have a pleasant time here.
The experience we had was okay. Nothing terrible or great. The staff was friendly, and the breakfast was good. We had the Spicy Cajun Benedict that was cooked fine, but nothing was very Cajun or Spicy about it. We ordered the short stack combo and got two pancakes, eggs, bacon, and sausage. The pancakes were good. The bathrooms smelled fresh, but the toilets needed some cleaning attention, and the women's hand dryer didn't work. Overall, the meal was fine, and I would consider returning for lunch if in the area.
The West Chester Diner offers a straightforward diner ambiance, with cleanliness maintained at an acceptable level, though lacking in notable features.
The food was enjoyable, particularly the pancakes, although they fell short compared to the exceptional ones at Downingtown Diner. Unfortunately, our dining experience was dampened by a waitress who sounded under the weather, which detracted from the overall enjoyment. On the bright side, the woman at the front desk was exceptionally friendly and accommodating.
However, the cold bathroom, equipped with what appeared to be a non-functional radiator, was a drawback. Additionally, the presence of two unused buffet areas left us questioning their purpose.
In conclusion, West Chester Diner delivers an average diner experience with comforting food options.
We ordered steaks prepared medium. They were both well done and not seasoned. One steak was replaced with yet another well done steak that was not seasoned. Our first and likely last time visiting this diner.
Service was great! Food was delicious!
Second time ordering the chicken parmigiana & the short stack pancakes which were sooo fluffy! This is a thing now ????????
