Best WLM Reviews
Although the food looked great, looks can be deceiving. I ordered the brisket fries, and it would have been good if the brisket didn't taste burnt. Not all the food came out at the same time so we couldn't eat together. Had to ask for silverware to eat after the food came. Waitress seemed overwhelmed. It was busy, I admit, but I can't blame the server, I just didn't like the quality of the food, I just had water.
We went here for the first time for Easter brunch. I saw many good reviews for it so suggested we give it a try - it was the right choice!
We got there and were immediately seated. Since we had a little one with us, they asked and provided us with a highchair. It is BYOB so we brought our own prosecco to go with the orange juice carafe we ordered. And I don't think they charged us a corkage fee - if they did, it was really minimal. All of the staff - hostess, cooks, our waitress and owner who came out to check on us - were all very friendly, upbeat and just had a genuine, kind vibe about them. Our server was very attentive, had good timing on checking in on us versus letting us enjoy our food/conversations and she had good banter with us. The vibe gives me modern rustic chic. Very clean and bright lighting with larger windows.
Now to the most important part - the food. Everything was delicious! Two of us ordered the Crab Cake Benedict, one person ordered an Omelette and we ordered French Toast and Bacon for our little one. We all agreed that the food was really tasty, came out at the perfect temperature and they gave really good portions. The crab cakes were really fresh, good sizes but didn't have a bunch of filler in it and were well seasoned.
I hope to go back soon because there were other items on the menu I want to try. I highly recommend going here for brunch.
West Ave is one of my favorite spots to eat ever!!! It’s amazing whether you eat in or get take out. My boyfriend and I love getting breakfast here. I highly recommend!!!
Food and service was extremely good if you get anything there is must be the surf and turf grits bowl it was chef’s kiss!!! the salmon alt and fruity pebbles waffles were extremely delicious as well. portions were quite big. The price is a little on the expensive side but I think it was worth it.
My children & grandkids went for bunch last Friday, 5 if us in total. Their food was good. I had a banana pudding french toast, which was kinda dry. Didn't appreciate that I wasn't told that they automatically add the gratuity to the bill and 3% for using a credit card. I had tipped the waiter $30 . So I was charged an extra $23 for the tip & $4.14 for using my card. Beware of your bill. And shame on you West Ave for not saying anything. ????
Everything was Amazing! The shrimp and grits was delicious.
My guest had the Southern comfort plate. The gravy that came with it was very tasty. They should really Sell that by the jar.
We shared the.The Cinnamon Toast Crunch French toast It was also very tasty.
I highly recommend This place, everything down to the coffee was 10/10.
It's my favorite place so far I have not tried every dish but my first dish was a disappointment it was chicken and waffles. The fried chicken was warm but cool in specific areas and taste refrigerated. It also had a spongy chewy texture rather than crispy. Wasn't pleasant so I order that day a salmon and was shook at how delicious and well seasoned the salmon tastes like no other so far and I take a great liking of it. The French toast was good the waffle taste like Belgium waffle but was good.
I went for my birthday on 11/25, & evening was delicious. We ordered the Southern Comfort Plate, Banana Pudding Waffles, & Crab Cake Benedict. Everything was well seasoned & the waffles were a 12/10, The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because I went back the very next day, & it was night and day. The second time around, we switched some things up a bit, but a lot of liked things like chicken, eggs, potatoes were pretty much the same. It lacked flavor and seasoning. It was kind of disappointing because I hyped up the spot to my friends so I could come back, and just didn’t hit the same. I will go back, & hopefully I get the experience that I had the first time around.
