Best WLM Reviews

I loved the Chili! Would definitely come back here for that ????
I came because I saw my friend Liv post on Instagram about a new special and I had to come try it.
They had a comedy night happening upstairs which seemed cute and I saw they also host a trivia up there as well.
Arriving for the first time seemed difficult to find to me but Google Maps led us in fine. Plenty of parking here in a huge lot. Fun interesting pully system for the fans which I loved.
It does not seem to be accessible by wheelchair through the main entrance because there are stairs right at the door. Maybe there’s another entrance. I loved the Mac and cheese but did see someone complaining it lacks flavor and I think they probably want a sharper cheddar flavor to it but it’s otherwise really good.
My first time here and I can’t wait to come back :)
Definitely excited when I heard they were reopening. My 3rd time coming here since the reopening, I always bring a new round of friends and family to come check it out. The food, drinks, and customer service is great. My go to is the brisket, mac & cheese, & obv the ribs. My only feedback, is fixing the sauce bottles ???? they get stuck sometimes.
I was under the impression that Wes’ Rib House was permanently closed as were several of my friends. Recently though, I was in the Olneyvillre neighborhood so I drove into their parking lot and it was open, It turns out they are open everyday, Monday through Sunday, 11;30 am until 2 am.
I took a menu and ended up coming back for dinner a couple of days later. The dining room is basically the same as before. I was never a fan of the stark, almost institutional feeling the place had, but, they have managed to soften it a bit. I’m not sure how, maybe an improved lighting set-up, whatever they did has improved the ambiance but IMO there is a vast amount of improvement that is still possible. But, if you put that short coming to the side, the place is nearly perfect. The food is fantastic, absolutely superb. Between my friend and I we sampled several different dishes and they were all outstanding. The service was terrific too. Granted, it was not that crowded when we were there but we were very well looked after. There was a very genuine feeling of wanting to please us. They could not have been nicer. I highly recommend the classic half rock of pork ribs accompanied by onion rings. They were extra yummy!!’
Service and overall experience was excellent! The stars of the plate (HA!) were the pulled pork and nachos. Really everything was so good. Brisket was a little dry but nothing a little bbq sauce couldn’t help! Almost made me feel like I was eating at home in the south again!!
If you’re looking for great service and conversation, try to get a table with John :)
This is NOT the Wes's that I knew from years ago. Pulled pork was cold, ribs were so tough you could not cut or chew them, beans and cornbread were horrible. We were a party of 7 and not only did we not get our meals in a timely manner but, the orders came out wrong. When we asked the manager why the long wait? He replied, "What do you want me to do about it?" "They are fighting for their lives in the kitchen." REALLY? Were they fighting the pigs??? The owner came over to the table and we all told her that the ribs and pulled pork were not hot and very tough. I told her they used to fall off the bone and the puled pork used to be called, Chopped BBQ. She replied, "We used to make them that way but, people complained that they fell off the bone so, we made them harder." "We had the original recipes but, they got lost in a fire." WELL, You Succeeded to make them very hard. I only gave the 5 star for service because of the bartender who was a true gentleman and, felt badly that we were all very dissatisfied with our uneaten meals. I would take the McDonald's Rib sandwich over their ribs, if that gives you any idea of how bad they tasted and tough to cut and eat they were. Needless to say, we will never go back there. Go to Chili's or Applebee's for ribs, you'll thank yourself.
Yikes.... Where to start! What a word place.. went in Friday night December 6th. Place did not seem as busy as it should be for a Friday night. That was when I had a bad feeling. I did not smell BBQ im the air. The dinning area was very cold liek they didnt have any heat on. WE had the pork ribs combo and the pulled pork nachos.. lThe nachosvwhere cold and I was told they are fried earlier in the day.. in other words not fresh and mad to order. Not even heated up.. wierd.... Just like another person posted the ribs where super tough. Not good at all. 1 more thing I found very word is the cocktails were in some very very tiny glasses...Not sure what that was about but geeeez... To be brutally honest I will never go back and I'm missed that I dropped almost 100. The owner and or staff should realize how bad the food is.. The staff seemed out of place and confused.
Best thing was the waffle fries. NEW Recipe for the mac & cheese, please! (With seasoning). Brisket and pulled pork heavy dry. The nachos were a hit for the other people at the table. This is not that great bring back the cook or whoever was there before.
This used to be a good place. I’m sorry but 4 strikes and you’re out. Each time, something screwed up. 45 years of being customer is over. The food is not as good, stuff was missing, and the staff couldn’t figure out to take a voice order over the phone while I was driving. The last time was a birthday present to me and forgot to give me barbecue sauce when I asked them, when I got there, if I had it. Open it up after 25 minutes drive home and no sauce. Thanks for ruining such a good place. Never again
