Amazing customer service, the price is so good for all you can eat. Squid was amazing, and broth was addicting. They had to refill it twice while we ate because we couldn't stop eating it. Waguy steak, fresh veggies, and crispy tofu were perfect. Very minimalist feel inside but cozy.
Hot pot with a 3 way broth option is always nice for a bigger group. I definitely have to say the best broth is the spicy broth. We also had the mushroom broth and chicken broth. I would least recommend the chicken broth. The meats were nice, our favorite was the brisket. It is so nice to see the menu include the cook time as well, very considerate. The only criticism I have is the sauce bar, the snacks provided were all stale and the sauces weren’t refilled. However, I liked how they had some sauce recipes for you to try!
We really enjoyed the food here! Everything was delicious and decent quality, especially given the price. The portion sizes were also very generous - probably more so than most other hot pot places that we’ve been. (We are avid hot pot eaters.) The servers were kind and dealt fairly well and very patiently with an unruly group who were overly intoxicated and loud and rude. We’d go back if we were to be in Phoenix again!
Food is ok. But the place looks not clean. The lemon water tastes weird! It looks like they didn’t change the lemon for days. I think they shouldn’t charge extra money per person for sauce.
And we were told that credit card machine didn’t work, we had to pay with cash.
Food was delicious. If you’re unsure try the duo pot with lemon and house, beef, lamb and pork. Then add in the veggies you want. Lettuce does get a bit bitter I just used as a wrap.
Most authentic hotpot restaurant in Arizona! It has been closed for couple months and after they secretly reopened in July they also improved their recipe for the pot bases. The servers and the owner are very friendly and told us the ingredients in the spicy pot are actually shipped directly from Szechwan China. That's why this place made me feel like I'm in China. The original beef bone broth is house-made and tastes so yummy! If you're new to hotpot, the servers could bring samples from the kitchen to show you what they look like and taste like!
I'm personally a huge fan of lamb, I can't stop eating because the quality of all the meat are so good. They also have All You Can Eat from 12 to 3pm for $28.89 each person, great deal for people who can eat a lot (like myself ????)
It's Chinese spicy hotpot at its best in the US at this price range. I personally will not come back because I can make it better at home as I am a picky eater and a pretty good cook. The service is hard to get although they are not busy, so if you only speak English, I recommend you sit close to their back kitchen where the service people go in and out. I speak their language but they just don't have the habit to check around and they avoid eye contact instinctively. Once you get hold of them, they are very accommodating to your needs, they just not use to come check on you like in an American restaurant, it's not about being rude or lack of service, it's mostly lack of experience and training.
The other restaurant in the same mall area are all packed or even have a wait line, they barely have 3 or 4 tables while I was there. Give it a try, their portion, quantity, price, taste, ambience, décor... are all very good.
I ordered a 3-meat combo, a mushroom combo, a meatball combo, milk tea, an Australian lamb. They are all good.
The most mentionable thing is their soup base. The 9 grid set up is my favorite. Don't be scared by its look, it's not That spicy. When the whole pot is boiling, use the special spoon they provide to scoop the spices to a less desired/corner grids, use the center/square grids to cook your food. After a while, when the spices are all fully cooked, and the flavors are string enough for you, scoop all the spices out and put into a bowl (see pic). This way, you'll have very little chance not struggle to have spices/seeds stuck on your food or between your teeth. You are welcome. ????
Great mala hotpot spot in Phoenix. We got mala soup (100% spiciness level) and mushroom soup. Both soups were delicious. For mala soup lover, I recommend you to get 100% spiciness level. (Even though we got 100% spicy level for mala based, it was not that spicy.) Beef tongue and spicy beef were my favorite meat dishes.
I hope they can improve the quality and the taste of the sauce station.
