My son is 14 now, we been with Dr. Tao since the date he was born. I never forget she helped me clear my son’s first Diaper…. First time mom, didn’t know what to do, and she was patiently tell me what I should do for newborn…. Kindhearted, professional, no small talks, down to the point…. My son had little issue during his 3rd grade, and his school officials suggested us to see Children Psychiatrist…. I took my son to Dr. Tao…. She was patiently with him for almost 45 mins, then she told me my son do not need see any psychiatrist, and my son loves her. I understand when our kids are not feeling themselves, we don’t want to hear different voices…. But let professionals do their jobs…. They are not here to make YOU FEEL BETTER, they are here because they want to make sure your kids are ok….
Had this doctor for 10 years, I went to ask about a referral to a psychiatrist for ADHD, she insinuated that I was a lazy teenager which discouraged me from seeking help for over a year. I recently saw a psychiatrist and got diagnosed and am now on medication. My sister got sick recently and went to see the doctor, she did not run any tests and told my sister to come back in a few days if she's still sick. The next day my sister was so ill she couldn't drink water without vomiting. She went to the ER where doctors told her it was strep throat AND HER PEDIATRICIAN SHOULD HAVE CAUGHT ON TO IT BEFORE IT GOT THAT BAD.
I don't question the years of study that went into Dr.Tao's licensing, but I do question her sense of duty to help children.
Worst pediatrician ever. I asked the doctor some unsure conditions of my son, yet she was impatiently telling me that I was overreacted before she even checked what I was talking about. I don't understand how I was overreacting, what I did was just simply ask, if we know everything, why do we bother to go to doctors?. Also, one time, when I asked Ms. Tao to repeat the question she was asking, she even raised her voices & repeated in a very rude way. I feel very uncomfortable of going to physicians that so bad at controlling their emotions & so unprofessional.
She is my son’s pcp for 10 years . She is an excellent doctor. There are a lot of misunderstandings I believe. If you want to pump a lot of drugs into your child’s system, she is not your dictator. I’m myself a nurse, work in some of prestigious hospitals. She is the best one and an honest one. You can trust her judgement.
This doctor is irresponsible and arrogant. Never listen to parents' questions. My son has been spitting milk. I asked her Maybe need a different kind of milk. She told me that every baby can spit milk, so don't worry about him. But every time he drinks milk, he vomits a lot. Once he coughed, I wanted the doctor to see him. She told me to go to the emergency room if I couldn't observe for a few days at home. This is wrong. I just need a doctor if I have a problem. You let me observe myself at home,
Nice doctor but kind of stubborn and just goes by the book. doesn’t listen to parents. Staff is very immature not well trained. my special needs child was rolling her eyes backward and all the staff came by one by one just so they can look at him and stare and be weird about it. Absolutely disrespectful and immature
Staff was rude. The waits were too long. The “doctors” were disrespectful and told my mom that i was overweight and needed to work out more (which is true but bothered us about it and made it dramatic when i was only few pounds overweight). The vaccines didn’t help and made me even more sick.
If I could give a zero star, I definitely would. This doctor cares about everything but babies. We started visiting her since our baby was born. The first visit seemed ok. The nurses and the doctor had an ok attitude. The third time, I went to Her for filling a medical form for the baby. I asked her for suggestions of reliefing baby’s eczema. She said the baby has to be there. Ok fine so the 4th time we visited her for eczema, they had an issue with our insurance. The front desk didn’t know how to take care of our insurance and kept asking us for deductible, which we shouldn’t pay upfront. It is clearly said in the insurance policy. But they didn’t understand. The doctor was already in the room treating the baby, but when she heard about the insurance issue that the front desk couldn’t deal with, she stopped right away and left. She claimed we had to pay before she saw the baby. I had to watch my baby having itchy skin and watch her leave the room. I even asked the front desk if we can visit the doctor today and deal with the insurance after the visit cuz a 3-month old baby was waiting to be seen. And this is not the first time we’ve been there. They dealt with our insurance all the time since the first visit. They refused. They insisted I had to pay cash. Patient has to pay the price of the doctor’s office not be able to understand the insurance policy. All they want is to take the money from patient and not treating them well even getting paid. I would not recommend this doctor to any families because as a pedestrian, she doesn’t have the heart of sincerely treating kids.
