Ordered a pretty simple sandwich. Dave’s single plain only cheese. Never ceases to amaze me how this simple of an order can get messed up. To top it all off a “manager” made this sandwich ???????? incompetent at its finest.
It looks like this Wendy's has been newly remodeled. It was very clean, including the restrooms. The staff was friendly and greeted us on entering. We hit the lull right before the lunch rush so we were in and out quickly. Prices and quality met expectations for Wendy's. They have a couple of claw games right outside to play. This store is attached to a country pride restaurant and large TA convenience plaza for those looking for something else.
Sign in the windows says "Open till midnight or later". Being part of a truck stop you would think they would hold true to that especially with most of their customers being truck drivers. Driving through and wanted a bit to eat. All the doors were locked and no one wanted to acknowledge that I was there. 10:45 and they're shutting down. No lobby hours or drive through hours sign on the doors or window. Won't ever come back. Not worth the stop.
First, the good: service was very friendly, and they honored a coupon from the app even though they don’t use the Wendy’s app at this location.
Now, the bad: no app or mobile ordering, dated location, so-so bathroom, slow service, and my burger has one measly piece of bacon on it (and it was an expensive “premium” bourbon bacon burger combo!)
If you’re hungry they have food in an area with few options. But it’s a pretty sub-par Wendy’s.
Well here's the positive. The food was Wendy's quality.
The bad. The cashier seemed annoyed to take our order, then didn't put it in right, so when the food came out, it was incorrect (can't blame the kitchen for that). The big issue is the overall cleanliness of the store. The tables all needed wiped off or rewiped off. The condiment counter was poorly stocked and gross. The floor needed swept and mopped. And the bathrooms were disgusting. I'm not sure if they were understaffed, but there multiple times when the staff that was in the back could have come out to clean instead of playing on their phones. Unfortunately I didn't have a way to contact the management directly so the review goes to Google.
Burger wasn't bad,a little messy but it was hot,the lady taking the order was awesome, great attitude, very refreshing ????this time it was better,got a dbl cheeseburger fries,piping hot and I didn't know it,had pn thin sweats ant sat it on my lap...yep...I felt it... what happened to the lady that use to pick up the bun and say where's the beef,or the hot and juicy...I'm still not sure about the patties but it was juicy
Worts food ever and expensive today I get chicken sandwich chicken patty is like a rock so hard and it’s 8.34 Shame on you guys if people paying you give them a fresh food atleast
If there was an opposite to the backrooms, it would be Wendy's located at Beto Junction. You walk in and are instantly greeted by an indistinct decade, one that feels welcoming regardless of who you are. The tone of the dining room is one of friendliness and home, but has an oddly unnerving familiarity to it. You feel like you can't leave, whether that's because you aren't allowed or you don't want to. You feel safely guarded.
Now, go get to the food, it's like McDonald's if McDonald's didn't serve poison. The beef, that's never frozen FYI, is literally the best fast food beef you can buy, and the toppings are given the same treatment. Everything is absolutely wonderful tasting.
