No doubt, Wendy's is always the place to go for a good fast food burger and fries. It can be hit or miss with different locations but this one was both clean and efficiently run. Food came out hot, quickly and it was good!
Food was high quality, it took a while for someone to notice me to take my order, but they were quick and professional, which is why I’m so confused as to why the place was so messy and unattended (see pics).
I left this Wendy's just a few minutes ago. When ordering I asked for fresh nuggets. Well, they asked me to take a spot and wait, but they were not cooking fresh nugget but fries. Because the nuggets were not hot, not even warm. Why? Would you have someone waiting for fresh nuggets and give them hot fries and almost cold nuggets. Never again!
Consistently bad. I hadn't been back anything besides breakfast for about a year, even though they're about a mile from my house. The last time was due to buying a $7 salad that was half empty. I asked why as it was handed to me and was told that HR instructed them to make them half the size. When I said "For the same price?" they said yes. No problem... give me my money back. Only then did I get a full sized salad. Maybe they still do that, I wouldn't know.
This time I ordered a Baconator fries, which is fries with shredded cheese, cheese sauce and lots of bacon hence the baconator part. I placed it through the Wendy's app.
I often order this and sometimes the bacon and cheese baked potato and for some reason asking for no cheese sauce becomes quantum physics. Almost every time another Wendy's in Rockville screws that up. I was near this one in Gaithersburg so I decided to roll the dice. Baconator fries with bacon, shredded cheese, no cheese sauce. Bad move.
I got the order as pictured. After I lol'd I took it to the counter, showed them the fries, reminded them that is was a Baconator fries order and was told "We left the cheese sauce off!". Great, gold star for that part of the task. I asked if this was how much bacon comes on the baconator fries and was again told about the omission of the cheese sauce. Great, thanks. Where's the bacon? Is this what I'm supposed to get?
"Well, what do you want?"

"An order of Baconator fries... with bacon. Just give me some bacon to put on my order".
"Give it to me, I'll make a new order"
"I don't need a new order, just give me some bacon".
"Give it to me, I'll make a new order".
"I would rather have you give me bacon and let me put it on than have someone do who knows what to a replacement order placed by a manager who seems worked up over a problem their crew caused".
This conversation occured in front of a counter person who had nothing to do with it and she seems to understand the absurdity of this because she kept looking at me and smiling. I smiled back, it's just food. Mistakes can happen, handling one like this almost seem like an episode of "Punk'd".
The manager finally brought me some bacon. In the past this store has shortchanged me on food and argued about it, put mayonaise on a sandwich and argued that I asked for it (from a lifelong mayo hater), looked at this order, saw the scrap of bacon and basically said what's the problem?
If I have some free time I might go back just to see how much more ludicrous the service can get. Then again, no. Good luck.
They have gotten breakfast sandwiches correct the majority of times. Apparently "no cheese sauce" or "no mayo" triggers something.

Update: Over the last year or so this location has greatly improved. They now get my orders right on a regular basis. Keep up the good work.
Overall Wendy’s is ONE my top fast food chains BUT I was highly disappointed when I found a gnat in my drink with that being said I will never return to this location again ! The way they operate the drive thru line is ridiculous when no other cars in back of you , having to drive in front of the shop
Over all just came for the krabby patty I never come to wendys for a good reason their food is somehow worse them mcdonalds and BK and I got my frosty and he really spilled the whole thing all over the cup making my hand sticky and the bathrooms are pin padded safe to say only reason to come here is for the gimmick
So I asked for cheese in the chili I didn’t get it I didn’t sweat it, I asked for no bacon opened the sandwich first thing I see is bacon i thought to myself it’s fine take it off but I’m happy y’all didn’t listen to me asking for no bacon or I won’t notice the piece of hair in my sandwich. Totally disgusted went in to show the employees and of course people would have hair in their food no one wearing hair nets super gross Wendy’s y’all do better.
I don’t even leave that many reviews but my food smelled like straight piss it stunk up the whole car I couldn’t even eat it what the hell wendys
