Best WLM Reviews

Fast food is fast food. There's not much to distinguish this Wendy's from any other. However, I agree with other reviewers who note that *recent* order accuracy is going downward at this location.
Other'n all that, the place is pretty well-kept. It's clean, both dining area and bathrooms. There's plenty of parking. And, while you can't get the 4-for-$4 special any more (it went to $4.44 and then to $5, and it seems smaller), the pricing is no worse than other fast food joints these days.
So let's talk about the service and the venue and the other things going downhill.
Several months ago, the TV was removed and the Wi-Fi vanished. I don't really care about the TV but others might miss it. No Wi-Fi, however --in spite of the sign that says, "Wendy's Wi-Fi"-- is a PITA. Why? Because it means that the Wendy's app isn't going to work on your non-cellular device. Kindof a contradiction, having a web-based app and no Wi-Fi.
FWIW, if you're using the app and need Wi-Fi, stop in next door at Arby's and use its free (and working) Wi-Fi to preload your order on your device before you cross over to Wendy's. Hey, there's something wrong with this picture, but you got'ta make do.
UPDATE: the "Wi-Fi" sign has been removed.
UPDATE 7/12/2024: the Wi-Fi is back and it's reasonably fast. The sign is not back. The Wi-Fi has a login screen that gets in the way of using the app...but that's not unusual.
This Wendy's has switched from personal service to two ordering kiosks. If you want to order personal-like (or, for that matter, want to scan the QR code required to take advantage of the Wendy's app) or if you want to pay cash, you have to wait until the one person who speaks English and is authorized to use the register...has time to wander over. You can wait 5 or 10 minutes. Seriously.
The kiosks themselves are brain-dead.They work very slowly, ignoring screen touches until they're good and ready. Placing anything but the most mundane order takes longer than personal service. The two kiosk screens are very close to each other, limiting the personal space available to customers using them. And, as marketing studies have shown, ordering kiosks generate larger (and more expensive) orders. Patrons are on the losing end.
And then there's the beverage machine. It's one of those Coke Freestyle machines. OK, the Cherry Coke isn't Cherry Coke (it's cherry-flavored Coke, just as is served by those kludgey gadgets you see at truck stops), but it works. This one, however, seems to be an early model and it's not in good working order. Sometimes it works, sometimes you have to push your finger thru the screen to get its attention, and sometimes it misreads your finger and pops up a totally unrelated flavor. And then sometimes it just ignores you. I've seen it spontaneously reboot, and the reboot can take --no kidding-- 10 or 15 minutes. There's something wrong in there.
UPDATE 7/12/2024: The machine is working better now. It gets hung up less often. It still misreads your finger.
About that English thing. It hardly matters what the language is spoken behind the scenes, as long as the customer-facing staff are able to communicate well...and the prep staff fill the orders accurately.
That said, there appears to have been a massive personnel change, bringing a new /lingua/franca/ to the kitchen. It happened in the same time period as the missing TV, the lost Wi-Fi, the ordering kiosks, the broken beverage machine, and the inaccurate orders.
It's almost as if a new manager decided to cut costs in every way he could, from equipment to staff...and replaced workers with poorly trained and inexpensive new hires.
UPDATE 7/12/2024: Napkins no longer provided unless requested. Dispensers on the condiment counter are empty. Looks like a policy decision based on excessive napkin usage by residents of a nearby homeless encampment.
If your order costs more than $10...consider a good sit-down meal (soup, bigger burger, more fries, and beverage) at the place-with-the-chili-pepper-logo down the street...for $14, including 8% tax and 18% tip.
Nope, never eating here again. The kiosks were working fine, all 10 of the customer's in front of me were allowed to use it. However, when I got to the counter the male cashier INSISTED I needed to let him take my order. Fine, I let him. I didn't receive anything I ordered and I was told my 5 year old daycare kids could not remove the onions from their kids meal burgers! What?! Instead...they put EXTRA onions on both burgers. Didn't get our drinks. It was a mess. NEVER AGAIN.
Usually pretty good but the mobile app hasn’t worked here in weeks. They are aware of it but it doesn’t seem to get fixed. Wouldn’t be a big deal but you can’t take advantage of any specials or points, so it is costing more
So no body here seams to speak English. Been waiting over 20 minutes for someone to take my order because the only 2 kiosks were being used. Same people on each one for over 20 minutes. Can't pay with cash and when 3 different people including my self asked for help we were just ignored. In total I waited 28 minutes to just walk out and go back to work hungry.
Man on counter was rude to people. He could not fill orders, kept opening up burgers saying he did not know what they were. Manager just stood around and watch him mess up orders and insult patrons. I was appalled and complained to manager. She had lost control and asked her to remove him from counter service. It was horrible and I lost my appetite. Never seen such a mess at any food establishment.
The food wasn't bad. We ate inside so it was actually hot. Prices have definitely gone up for what you get.
I was definitely not impressed with their choice of channels on the TV they had. They had it on FOX news. Not everyone watches nor likes Fox. And In one of the most liberal towns! Not to mention when I go to a restaurant I don't want to see politics on the TV! And it shows what they care about. People don't want to see that. I will not be eating in there dining room again. Management needs to rethink what they put out there.
Went at lunchtime. They were busy, especially with drive through service. We went inside to eat. Couldn't get the kiosk to work for me because I wanted to upgrade a couple items. Food was good and fresh. The orange frosty was delicious. We got burgers, chicken nuggets, fries and a chicken burger. Restaurant was clean.
During 30 min lunch break I don’t have a lot of time. Everyday I come when Robbie and Sean are working I swear my order is done before I can fill up my cup. Great fast hard working guy, cleaning, prepping always busy, and polite
