UPDATE ***This is my NEW review for this restaurant and it is WORST than the previous one. This happened on last Saturday, May 1st, 2024. It was about 8pm and for ONCE, the drive thru was empty. As I turned in, EVERY employee that worked that night was outside talking. I drove around to order. I sat there for a few minutes before I decided to drive back around to where they were talking to somebody in an SUV. The Hispanic/white guy wanted to be the hero that night. I CALMLY told them that I had been waiting in drive thru and asked were they still open. His smart mouth @$$ said "nobody knew you were around". I took a deep breath before saying: "I just past right by you!"???????????? He said " ok, go back around and someone will take your order", so I drove back around and sat there AGAIN and nobody STILL took my order. The Marine in me drove BACK around there and told them that I was calling corporate on Monday and let them know how they are running this restaurant. Did I mention that I had placed a mobile order that I had to cancel? I ended up going to the Wendy's on Hwy 29. On God, they need to throw the WHOLE restaurant away. Just because you remodel does not mean the customer service was upgraded as well. It don't make ANY sense that no matter WHEN YOU go there, unless it's in the daytime- you get messed up food with a side of attitude.****
If I could give this review a -10, that STILL would be too kind. The first thing that pissed me off was the fact that when I placed my mobile order, I SPECIFICALLY STATED that I wanted it through the drive thru. This Wendy's is the ONLY ONE that makes you come inside to pick up your order. If I have to come INSIDE, WHY even have an option to pick up in the drive thru? Next was the customer service. I walked in and there were SIX PEOPLE back there and they were ALL just standing around. The girl at the register was VERY irritated and seemed to be the only one working. Next thing was the time it took then to fix my order. I was inside 15 minutes waiting on ONE HAMBURGER. NOW, I'm REALLY pissed. And last but not LEAST, the bacon on my baconator was crumbled up bacon scraps. I didn't even take it back because Wendy's is already quite a distance away and I was hungry. It NEVER FAILS, just about every time I go to that location, they get my order wrong. I will not be going back to that location ever again.
This is a typical Wendy's except for the area the store is located. It is not the best nor safest neighborhood to be in.
There were homeless people in the restaurant and also outside the restaurant.
The female inside was out of her mind, and outside the homeless were scattered around the parking lot. The bathrooms had homeless people camped out or something because they were locked up with homeless people going in and out.
My two lady friends from Norway said they felt unsafe, and I do not blame them.
The food was what is expected from a Wendy's, but if a female customer fears for their safety, the review must reflect that fear.
I will never return to this restaurant.
Both people at the drive thru windows were absolutely wonderful. Great personalities for both men working the windows. It's nice to see happy cheerful people working on drive thru windows.
I had a mobile order . One thing about me is I’m big on greeting . She greeted me and immediately got straight to the point . My wait was less than 10 minutes . Good job crew . Makes me feel good about my Wendy’s on Fairfield . Quick fast and friendly and they had good communication as a team .

We love Wendy's, but this location is the worst.
The parking area is awful, the traffic is always bad right around them, and I feel like I'm not welcome as soon as staff lay eyes on me. My wife says the same thing. Each time we have visited, the staff is almost exclusively black and they are either openly (and loudly) complaining about customers or goofing around until they see me or my wife. The same can be said of the majority of customers I have seen inside.
I'm a white male, and my wife is Filipino. Whether we have gone in together or alone, the mood in the building just turns sour as soon as someone working here sees us. Once, after standing at the counter for ten minutes one time without anyone even saying they would be over in a moment, we left. Another time, I walked in and started to say "hello" to the lady at the register and was met with "aw, hell no" before I got the word from my mouth. I'm not saying this is a racial thing, but it sure seems that way. The only time I get service is using the drive-thru, and the staff look annoyed to see me when I get to the window, while I hear them chatting with dark-skinned customers in the cars ahead of me.
I don't like that it's the only conclusion I can come to, but this is HIGHLY unprofessional behavior, no matter their reasons, identities, or affinities. Of all the times I have visited this Wendy's, I have only gotten sub-par food in three instances. Not to say that the other times were good, but that I could visit a dozen times and would be served only three of those visits... and each was very low-quality.
We live about 5 minutes down the road, but my wife insists on driving all the way to Highway 98 instead. If I get a Wendy's craving while sitting within line of sight to this Wendy's I'll just get McDonald's on the next block instead. This is THE WORST Wendy's location I have ever visited. My wife just texted me from the parking area and said she refuses to go back because of the looks she got walking in the door just now. She is on her way to the Highway 98 location from her job just off of Fairfield and 12th.
What should be a convenient, friendly place to get some decent food on the way home is simply a hostile environment that we refuse to deal with.
Ordered 3 Biggie Bags, one with a Bacon Double Sack MINUS ONIONS due to a food allergy.
Cashier Nytashia rang that part of the order up correctly, but the kitchen staff prepared it with onions, which I didn't know until I got the food to my destination. Fortunately someone in the group was able to eat it, but the person who ordered it was not able to eat what they paid extra for, and was rightfully very upset.
Typical of the poor service at this perpetually messy and inefficient location.
Wendy's has been going downhill on quality and service for years and this is the final annoyance. Will not be spending any more money at Wendy's.
Hey I though long and hard about this because; I believe this person need their job but please use this as a teaching moment. There was hardly no traffic in line. I paid for my food then was told to pull forward, and I waited 5 to 10 min for the associate to bring my food. She arrived with my food but she was vaping blowing smoke on my bag; I started to tell her I didn't want the food because she was blowing smoke on the bag this is a Safe Service concern!!!
Drive thru computer down but there. And they were not busy. I was the only customer. Could use the other computer n lobby easy . Then wait Inside for 10 min to be ignored till more ppl come in. Then they attended the person that just walked in and skipped me. Is total BS. I had to point out I was waiting right i front the computer and was ignored really! Then I walk out and they serve the dri thru ppl.. doing what I suggest
