Went this location for the very first time today. (Thurs-9-19-2024) approx 1:10pm
All day Ive been using my phone to tap to pay. I go into the drive thru of this location and their machine isn't scanning my phone at the first window. The line behind me is starting to buildup and I don't want to hold people up so I pull into a parking spot and walk in. The machine doesn't work at the cash register either. I show the manager my balance on my phone and asked to try again. Each time the machine would give an error message. The manager then got flustered and said "I have other customers. Nothing is wrong with my machines. If you can't scan your phone I will have to cancel the order."
A lady behind me was kind enough to pay for my order and I offered to cash app her the money and she wouldn't even let me.
I even heard people behind in line making remarks that this Wendy's location isn't the best when it comes to service.
This is the first and last time I'll go to this location.
Manager Huges of wendy's discriminates against black people. Allow me to articulate:
Today 5/23/2024, I ventured into the 11030 viers mills road wendy's location for breakfast. I was thirsty so I requested a curtesy cup to have a drink as I waited for my order. As I stood by a table and chair just about to have a seat, manager Huges approached me with 2 words; "Get Out." I was very shocked and replied; " Wow that is very rude of you, I am a paying customer waiting on my order." He then responds "By stealing drinks?" I replied "Why do you give curtesy cups to customers if you're going to accuse them of stealing drinks?" He then proceeds to call the police after I received my breakfast, sat down, and started eating. The police arrived and escorted me out because it is technically private property. The police however supported my position, and encouraged me to call corporate, leave a review, etc, because they figured it more than likely has happened before. I come directly to the Google reviews to see how other customers get treated here at this location, and I see that I am not alone. Many others have had to deal with rudeness and have been mistreated by management at this wendys. What happened here today is just another sad reminder that my dark skin will cause certain people to treat me bad and accuse me of stealing even when I spent/ invested my hard honest earned money into their business. I'll take my business elsewhere, and to all other minorities that have been racially profiled by manager Huges of wendy's just remember without our investments, he can't keep the lights on to keep racially terrorizing us. Go to McDonald's! Friendlier staff and way better deals in the McDonald's app!
I love Wendy’s but the man that gave me my food was so rude he is always very rude and shouts at the customers from the drive thru and he messed up my order so many times then gets mad he is a very bad worker so rude always shouting every time I come. Also I come at night usually around 10:20pm because I get off work myself and just want to treat myself to a meal but this man is always here I am not one to complain but he is so rude. He doesn’t wear a name tag even though all the other workers do. He is an old man, black, is bald with white stubble on his head and wears a beanie every time I go. Just a rude man. I have worked in food service myself but no matter how upset or angry I was I never acted like that and the manager was right next to him and didn’t say anything. It is clear he doesn’t care and doesn’t mange his workers well. I am very unsatisfied with the service!
My job requires me to travel a lot and this has to be my favorite Wendy’s in the area. The staff are very professional and friendly and provide great service! The food that comes out is always hot and crispy. A 5 stars Wendy’s!
Great service in the drive through. Food served was good, hot and fresh! You can go inside - but not many parking spaces.
Their online hours say drive through and walk in available but when you go they tell you no walk ins accepted. The manager wouldn’t even allow me to use the restroom even if I purchased. Also the manager didnt have the decency to tell me no himself. He walked to the back as soon as I asked and allowed the staff to do his job. If you’re hungry during the late night, this is not the location to depend on. I was a customer but I won’t be returning.
A pretty decent Wendy's. Right in the middle of everything in Wheaton. I always get the Baconator combo, it's always pretty good, and priced better than the burger specialty places. Dining room gets a C+ for cleanliness, not great but not terrible.
It says “Open 24h”. I was on the bus at 10:30pm and went off to get food. Turns out it’s only for drive-through and they don’t allow orders for pedestrians.
The sign made me lose my bus and be left without food.
