Best WLM Reviews

I used to go to Wendy's for good deals on good food, but it seems those days are over. I went later, so there was one car ahead in line and the lobby was already closed. Despite that, we waited nearly 10 minutes for the vehicle ahead of us to order, then discovered why when we got to the speaker and had to wait over 5 just to place our order. I get it was late, maybe you're a bit understaffed, but this happens all times of the day at this location, no matter how busy it is. That all wouldn't have been too bad if the food didn't come out how it did. Fries and nuggets seemed a bit old and cooled off. The sandwich has gotten significantly smaller lately (not the workers' fault, I know) but the amount of mayo and lettuce I received just made me laugh. It's no longer worth saving a few bucks, in my opinion.
Every night after 8 PM, especially Fridays, you will legit be waiting for 5-10 minutes for your order. Managment needs to teach their employees to apologize for the long wait at the window. That goes a long way. If it’s as bad as it normally is, offer a free drink, a meal, a frosty, sheesh SOMETHING! Then manage the volume better going forward. Orders are not always correct. A hamburger with no cheese is said that way to remind them it’s not a CHEESEburger and they still put cheese on it every time.
July 2024 - This is a second review for the Wendy’s restaurant located at 21000 N John Wayne Pkwy, Maricopa, AZ. I visited the drive through around 12:30 p.m. on a Saturday. There were no vehicles in line when I arrived, so after looking at the menu, I ordered a Classic Chicken combo which by default comes with medium fries and drink. They tried to upsell the large but I declined. The total was $12.20 and they never offered or provided a sales receipt. I arrived home within 5 minutes and found the fries were starting to get cold and soggy, suggesting that they were not very fresh when placed into the bag. I was very disappointed in the Classic Chicken sandwich because of the chicken patty. The last time I ordered this item, the chicken was an actual chicken breast that exceeded the size of the bun. According to the online menu, this thing is made with “Chicken Breast Fillets with Rib Meat, Water, Seasoning. It’s tiny and roughly the circumference of the bun. It tasted ok in and of itself, but it’s very disappointing compared to the sandwich Wendy’s used to serve. I rated the previous visit with 3 out of 5 stars. This visit earned the same score, 3 out of 5 stars.
[Edit - Review from July 2023] The food was hot, tasty and fresh. Oddly, the drive thru had only one car at 1 PM on a Saturday, so I got through quickly. The price seemed quite expensive for what I ordered, but when I got home, it looks like I got large fries and drink when I ordered small, otherwise, the portion sizes are unbelievably generous for a small. They only put one napkin in the bag, and it was drenched in grease from being set on top of the french fries.
When I walked in, the cashier was too busy talking to their friend to greet me. I had to initiate my order. I ordered a #10 Asiago Ranch Chicken Club combo and didn't have to wait long. But when I sat down, I noticed the floors and tables had not been cleaned in hours if not the whole day. Tables with food on them, the floor was sticky and covered with crumbs, and business was not very constant. Throughout the 15 minutes I sat down and ate, the lobby and front barely had customers and no staff came out to clean. I also noticed I could not see the health inspection bulletin within viewing distance of the front counter, I can only wonder what their cleaning practices are like behind the counter where it's most important!
This was 2 fresh large fries! They cost over $4 a piece. Horrible. And the workers in the drive thru had an attitude when I told them they got my order wrong.
This place is a far cry from what it used to be when it opened. I used to go there until I discovered how good Culvers was and being in the area today I decided to get my usual and go home. I was the only one in the drive through which should've told me something was up because it was always busy. Anyways I get my food home and notice there's a small pool of grease on my seat right underneath where the bag was sitting. I look at the bottom of the bag and the paper was soaked so much that holes the contents were coming out. I thought a ketchup packet exploded but upon further inspection it was runoff from the burger I ordered. The wrapper my food was in had grease all over it and the bread was soaked. It was absolutely gross. To top it all off they didn't even cook the meat all the way. In the trash it went. I'm not trying to get salmonella poisoning. I see why business has declined and I will never eat or recommend anyone else to eat there again. That's what $14 gets you folks.
Everytime I order a bacon double stack biggie bag they forget the bacon. But they replace the entire burger so that's pretty cool. Also the food is made to good. For fast food Wendy's is quality especially this location specifically.
When me and my wife walked in, we noticed the employees in the back eating food straight from the fryer baskets. After a few minutes we were finally acknowledged and they took our order. The employee taking our order was a little snippy and getting frustrated. She even complained about having to clean up a mess, I get that it isn't pleasant to do so but you shouldn't be complaing to the customers. After getting our food, we were disappointed to find the fries were cold and oil soaked. My wife's burger was thrown together and messy to the point she could barley eat it. While eating we noticed that people coming in were waiting 5 to 10 minutes to have their order taken and doordash orders taking longer. I would not recommend eating here, your money would be better spent at the tacobell next door.
