Took my 9 year old daughter for lunch today and the employees were arguing while we were waiting for our food. Once we sat down with our food the one employee came storming into the dining area and started throwing anything and everything she could get her hands on and slammed the online order bins to the ground. It took 4 other employees about three minutes to force her out the door. It was an awful experience that my child should not have witnessed, and we ended up leaving as soon as she was removed because I was not sticking around with my child Incase she returned. The service there has always been pretty poor but this incident does it for me and we won’t ever go back.
I ordered a drink on the app and shared this info at the drive thru speaker. Was told to not stop at window but pull up and my order would be brought to me
As I ordered only a drink I stopped at the window where there were 3 employees. Was told to pull ahead because they have to "help the timer". When i questioned why they couldn't just hand it to me the response from the person at the soda machine was "Don't give me a hard time!"
Note that there was one car ahead of me and they were already waiting at the door when I arrived. There was no one behind me
i understand being asked to pull forward for customized grill orders or during rushes. However, this has become standard practice at this location (Buffalo Rd, Rochester). It is also not unusual, after waiting, for the order to be incorrect and/or sloppily made. Sadly, this us also the case at other locations.
It is clear that the owners/franchisees are only concerned with artificial speed and statistics at the expense of quality and service.
I am too thrifty to pass up $1 drinks, but that will be my only purchase at Wendy's. When that promotion is gone, I will be too.
I’ve worked in Gates for 15 years, around the corner from this Wendy’s. This place has plummeted in everything. Service is terrible, slow or non existent. This place is always dirty. There’s puddles all over the place or slippery floor and trash left out.
I went in today to order food inside, waited for 10 minutes at the counter while 5+ employees acknowledged that I was there, but then did nothing to take my order. There was no one in the entire place. Everyone behind the counter was just hooting and hollering and swearing with the manager with whatever conversation was going on that took precedent over doing their job.
The girl that then got out of the bathroom came to take my order. Everything was fine with using the app for an offer that I ordered. But then got back to work for lunch to find that the food that I have is not what I ordered.
This place is a dump and I have no idea how management could let this place get so low. Wendy’s is not the healthiest of food options for sure, but nice to have once in a while. But this place isn’t worth it anymore. No one here cares.
1 experience had a drive through and later found my fries were burnt.
Another experience my sandwich order was wrong.
Now, I place a dine-in order to ensure food is how it should be, selected the dine-in option in the app, and they place was closed.
Todays experience... I took Video that shows there was no line for the drive thru so they weren't busy at the moment.
Dining room was closed.
No sign and the app was allowed to display dine-in as an option.
The Flip-flop wearing staff member says there's no manager but then says she's busy with the drive-thru?

Be careful with your purchase there. Always ask for your receipt and check it. They like to charge you for things you didn't ask for. Nor give you what they charge you extra for. Refuse to give you refunds when you call them out on it. And employees and management is straight up rude. You are better off driving out of your way to go to another location if you really want Wendy's. Management needs to be completely replaced to save this location. And be expected to use the drive-thru because most of the time they keep the dining room locked.
Gave them a try again after horrible experiences since the reddish / blonde haired manager has no longer been there, and since then it got really bad. Once I asked for a fork at the drive through and the guy who was clearly on drugs threw it at my face. Well I gave them another try today and the corn in my salad was having some black rot on it. I picked off all I could and ate it, now feeling I must've ate some of that bad corn. I will not be back.
My husband went through the drive through and waited 9 minutes then was asked to pull ahead to wait another 10 minutes for 1 sandwich and fry's. The hamburger was cold I mean not cool, but cold and when he went back to get his money back they would not refund him.
$15 for a horrible experience and poor customer service. Lessoned Learned
Ordered at 10:45pm through Doordash multiple times my order would be delayed until after midnight and canceled because they are closed. They close at 12am.. Very poor service to refuse orders way before closing time. Besides this issue the food is great. When you actually get it..
