We did the drive thru. We waited about 4 minutes but was given FRESH fries!!! You
never get fresh fries from a fast food place anymore. They're usually always warm not hot. Theses were fantastic!!! I ate all my fries and half my husbands before I even made it home. I will be going back!
I avoid doing negative reviews and sent the following to the Wendy's contact email asking that they confirm it was received. My thinking is that a manager aware of the issues is better able to correct things. I never heard back.
We thought Wendy’s would be a dependable stop. I remember my first time to have a Wendy’s burger. The year was 1979. The burger was hot, juicy, tasty, and SQUARE. I’ve used Wendy’s many times over the years after that first positive experience.
My impressions on Store #10837 in McAlester, OK.
1. The grounds needed policing for trash pickup. (storefront/parking).
2. The dining area had several tables with left over fries and trash paper.
3. Men’s restroom had a hole in the wall next to the urinal about 8”x24.” If repair was in process, some indication of that would be nice, but it appeared to be something left for a while. It appeared there was water damage around the window where we ate. Caulking was separated and tiles were water-stained.
4. Our burgers were barely lukewarm. The fries were slightly warmer but not anything approaching hot.
5. The ice machine wasn’t working. We were fine with having cold Cokes without ice. The young lady who was taking orders was courteous, but listening to her repeatedly saying “We ain’t got no ice” got old. A manager might have helped her adjust that to “I’m sorry, but our ice machine isn’t working.”
6. The front was unwatched for several minutes at a time with all employees in the back. I'm sure they were working, but would think someone should be observing the dine-in customers for safety and service.
Sorry for the negative comments, but I know that it’s important for a store to represent the standards of the franchise they’re associated with.
There was no chili available at 8:00 at night. The person covering the counter was on his phone at one of the tables. He acted like we were really interrupting him. The fries were medium warm. A drink refill was requested, and the same counter person had to put his phone down and come back to the counter. The refill was filled with the incorrect soda.
The employees working today were rude including the manager. I went through the drive through ordered my food got to the window, and paid for it. They then proceeded to ask what I ordered so I told the first one that asked, then another came and asked the same question, then proceeded to tell that employee what my order was. Started down the highway and realized my food wasn’t right. Turned back around just for them to tell me I wasn’t “being clear” when ordering my food after I told not one but two employees what I ordered. I then had to pay for the food they didn’t put in there which is fine, but they messed up and didn’t want to make it right.
I got chicken nuggets fresh, fast, and usually always hot every time. I’ve eaten here for years has always been awesome. However until today someone dropped the ball they were cold some were hard as a rock others tasted rotten just sour and wet. Im so disappointed in what I received the manager has no quality control. I’ve gotten sick from this negligence and pure disrespect to the customers.
Great place. The management is Top ???? notch and the employees are professional and efficient. Food is delish ???? and always busy.
The food was good as always, same thing with service. However, as a previous Assistant Store Manager for a different restaurant, I will say that the MOD Joyce, is horrible.
I came in behind a doordash driver. The driver stated that the customer had an issue with their order. Bobbie, who stated to me that she had just started, was very nice and was honestly trying to help. I witnessed Joyce get onto Bobbie three or four times in the span of 5 minutes telling her to just give the lady the nuggets that was ordered. By that time the doordasher had already left, and Joyce was trying to say that I was the customer. I told her that I wasn't the customer in question and that she had already left.
My mobile order had been accidently cleared off and was never made, which happens and I understand that, but Joyce was asking Bobbie where the order was because she hadn't seen it. Joyce was very rude and disrespectful to Bobbie in the whole five or six minutes of me being in the restaurant. Bobbie is a good employee and was very helpful.
Food was okay. We ordered the fresh seasonal fruit and when we got home to eat saw that the container was nearly empty. Please take a look at the pics. This was just unacceptable and we won't be going back to Wendy's again. By the way this was at their Forney, Texas location.
