Today was the first and last time in my life I ever tried ordering food from Wendy's. I tried to order a Jr Bacon Cheeseburger from the drive through. The worker replied bach with laughter as he said they are currently out of small burger meat.
I had a feeling it was going to be a nasty reply for some reason. Should've trusted my gut. No wonder the parking lot is always empty at this particular Wendy's.
Benjamin was working the drive-through. Friendliest service I've ever had at any fast-food place! They did a good job hiring him. Very respectful and courteous!
Went to order a burger and shake. They informed me it would B over 25 mins for my order. They informed me they had 3 customers ahead of me and there was only 2 people working at the time. Informed them I couldn't wait for 25 minutes for a take out. Asked them why they had only 2 people working during a dinner time time of day. They indicated that a couple of people just quit and they could not find anyone else to work there. She offered me a Job, but told her I already had one. Went across the road to Love's Gas Station and there was no one behind the counter. There was a Gal stocking the shelf and I asked her if she could check me out so I could leave. Asked her where R the other people working there. Her response was a couple of people just quit ???? and she qas the only one doing everything there. Told her it's really hard to find people that actually want to work for money anymore. Seams a good part of our Society doesn't want to work and looking for easy money.
Nicest, cleanest Wendy's we've ever been to. Only complaint is they were out of chicken nuggets so gave spicy instead but was due to kiosk ordering issue. The staff promptly provided burgers for the mixup.
Food was so old I couldn’t eat it. Workers not friendly. Very dirty all over. Just stay for the wait at Culver’s
We stopped at this Wendy's again as it was requested by our son. After the last experience being 6 years ago (see below) I hoped it had improved. To our pleasant surprise it has improved greatly. The building has been updated and is very spacious. The ordering had kiosk option or counter and the staff was friendly. A complete 180 from before. The food was tasty and warm. The fries at Wendy's are my preferred fast food option. Very glad we stopped here and gave it another shot. Thank you for the pleasant road trip meal.
Stood at the front counter for a few minutes and no one even acknowledged us. No eye contact or "we'll be with you soon". Even walking to the frosty machine they did nothing. Worst service my wife or I have gotten at a fast food restaurant. Culver's is just 200 feet to the east and that would be my suggestion for quick food in Clear Lake.
I like that they don't cave to the pressure of only ordering through a kiosk. Human interaction is always best. If I would have to do my own order then there should be a price discount. Two thumbs up Wendy's, you have my business if the public stands up to change maybe others will have to scrap out there new machines and interact with people again.
Good place to stop if you like Wendy's menu and got in on the current $5 meal deal. The only complaint was it was ridiculous freezing cold inside.
