Love this resort! Will absolutely be coming back in the near future. It’s a nice size— not too big not too small. Plenty of activity for the kids (pools, arcade, playground, swan rental and more). This was a type of resort where I could hang out all day and not leave. Loved the access to Hollywood Studios via the free boat ride. We took a free shuttle to Magic Kingdom as well. Food is great, service is great. For food we frequented Fuel, a grab and go store, for breakfast and snacks. They offered waffles, croissants, snacks and drinks. They have a Coke Freestyle machine and you can get free refills for the day. Gift shop was a nice place to grab birthday presents too. Overall this resort was very comfortable and accommodating- made my vacation fun and relaxing. Will be back!
This is an on Disney property Marriott hotel that has 5 pools on site with a pretty extensive gym, on site day care at camp dolphin and many great restaurants. The staff has been primarily great, but our smoke alarm went on 2 straight nights each time about 3-5 minutes from the shower steam supposedly that woke our kid up. Engineering and security came as nothing they could do as it was “working as designed”; an obvious flaw in the system. This was extremely annoying and frustrating and obviously messed up our morning schedules. When we brought it up to the help desk when we were checking out, we were just thanked for letting them know and that was it. Although this hotel you can walk to many different places including the boardwalk and Epcot, there is also a Ferry or shuttle to anywhere you want to go to the theme parks. The bus in my opinion takes too long to go to magic kingdom as it first brings you to a connecting monorail and then to the park, which is about an hour in total. If leaving late, I would recommend a car service direct back. Epcot is 3 stops and about 15 minutes by boat and Hollywood studios is the most direct as got there by boat in 10 minutes. Animal kingdom by bus was convenient as well. Rooms were fine and lobby is beautiful but just disappointed in what happened in our room.
The rooms were pretty standard. I would expect more from such an expensive resort. I can only imagine the cost of getting a better room than we had. That would be depressing... other than that, the staff were ok. Not overly helpful but not too easy to locate when needed either... hopefully! One day when I can afford to take my family to another Disney Resort, we will have a much better experience.
Another fantastic stay. Just their basic 2 queen bed room but very spacious huge tv and if you ask for a high room a good resort view. Cleaning staff were excellent and came every day. Do account for the parking and resort fee in you holiday budget or book with virgin and both are included in the price. We always use the Dolphins Phins bar for pre dinner drinks. Always a good atmosphere.
I gave it four stars due to the lack of breakfast. As well as the crazy high prices in the marketplace.
The service was great. The room was very well kept. I did not get a chance to use the many different pools or spas but did walk around them, and they look awesome. This is a great place for families and has shuttles to ask the parks.
I recently stayed at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort and had a fantastic experience. The location is unbeatable, with easy access to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios. The rooms although feel dated are still spacious and comfortable, featuring modern amenities. The staff is friendly and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable. The on-site dining options are diverse and delicious, catering to all tastes. The pool area is perfect for relaxation after a day at the parks. Overall, the Dolphin Resort offers a magical stay with great value and convenience. Highly recommend for families and Disney enthusiasts!
I recently spent six nights at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort, and it was an experience I'd rather forget. Despite the steep price of $300 per night, plus an additional daily resort fee of $40 that offered little in return, my stay was fraught with issues.
Firstly, the accommodations were far from satisfactory. The room and hotel interiors seemed trapped in a time warp, not having been updated since the 1980s. Not only was the room uncomfortably small, but it also fell short in terms of upkeep and cleanliness. The state of disrepair was evident, with dated fixtures and evident lack of maintenance, making it clear that both Disney and Marriott have neglected their duties in ensuring a standard of quality one would expect at such a premium price point.
To add insult to injury, the hygiene conditions were appalling. The room was not just unclean but felt downright unhealthy — a stark contrast to the polished image these brands usually project. I took several photos to document the unacceptable conditions, which clearly demonstrate the urgent need for renovation and improved housekeeping standards.
Furthermore, the dining options were underwhelming. Both the Dolphin and the adjacent Swan Hotel seem to share nearly identical menus across their restaurants. This lack of variety, combined with the mediocrity of dining experiences, only compounded the frustration of my stay.
It's disheartening to write such a negative review, but I believe potential guests deserve to know what awaits them. Both Disney and Marriott should be ashamed to associate their names with a property that fails to deliver on so many levels. Future guests, consider yourselves warned; there are far better places to stay where your comfort and satisfaction will be prioritized.
This is a fantastic Marriott hotel (ON DISNEY PROPERTY) that is absolutely beautiful inside. We have stayed 3x and the staff has been awesome. You can walk to many different places including the boardwalk. There is a Ferry or shuttle to anywhere you want to go. It is actually faster to walk from the boardwalk to the hotel instead of taking the ferry). The playground is a nice place to relax after a long day (and the kids are rejuvenated). The pools aren’t heated so avoid them if it’s below 85 out.
