Best WLM Reviews

Really enjoyed our recent 5 night stay here. As soon as we arrived, the lovely scent in the hotel is so welcoming. Check in was quick and we were warned of the construction noise which was to be from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm. My only pet peeve was that it started frequently around 8:00 am. The hotel was decorated beautifully for Christmas. We had a refurbished room and loved the heavenly bed and great quality towels. Housekeeping was flawless. Of course, the location of the hotel is everything and for the price we paid I would absolutely love to stay here again.
We read some bad reviews before choosing this resort, but our Disney travel agent said she had had good experiences. We requested adjoining rooms which we got. We requested refurbished rooms and got those as well. Extremely clean on our floor as well as rooms. Had view of Epcot and fireworks. Walking easy to boat to Hollywood Studios or just walk. Walked to Boardwalk to take buses to other parks and Disney Springs. Only negative was the resort fees nightly And even though the white bedding was soft and fluffy, every night the insides of our duvet crawled its way to the foot of the bed and all we had was a cold regular sheet and found ourselves frozen. That amenity may need to be rethought. One room had 2 queens and double sinks which was nice. The rain shower heads were enjoyable. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend
We stayed for about 5 days at the Dolphin and had a wonderful stay. Our room was ready when we arrived before check-in. The staff at the desk and concierge were friendly, helpful, and efficient. The room was in great condition, modern, and as advertised. We had daily maid service with the maid doing a great job. The lobby and bar were very relaxing and a great place to unwind after a long day at the parks. They make a great martini. Even though it's has Disney access, the only downer is that the transportation isn't treated the same. When wanting to take the bus, walk to the Yacht Club and use their bus which drops you off at the Magic Kingdom. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.
Pros: so close to the boardwalk and Epcot! We loved walking to the park and back to the hotel. We stopped and ate, watched entertainment, and had so much fun. It was such a vibe! The hotel is old but the lobby is beautiful. We loved hanging out and exploring.
Cons: the walls are thin and our neighbors were screaming in Spanish nonstop from 6am on. Our room 6160 had zero hot water either day we showered. None! Parking is a scam. Valet is a separate company and try to get you to park at the Swan or use them even though there are spots at the Dolphin! We had the hotel manager fight it out with them on the phone and ended up being able to park on site. Absolute scam artists. They don't tell you parking is $36 extra per day. They also double charged the $45/day resort fee we already paid through the booking company, so we'll have to fight that out. Drinks are good but prices are insane. $9 for a kid's Good to Grow 6 oz drink. Triple grocery store price. Old fashioned $17, bottled craft beer $12. Insanity. And on top of it, the buses were only available at the Swan due to a convention. Crazy overpriced for the weekend amenities.
Overall, it wasn't worth it and we definitely won't be back.
What an awesome stay. We arrived very early and it was easy to store our bags. Our room was ready a little before 2. ||When we got back to the hotel getting our keys was painless and we had our bags and were in our room in 10 minutes. And what a room 1201 is!||Many of the rooms have been completely renovated, floor to ceiling. This room was no different. Everything seemed fresh and very clean. ||But the kicker was the other half of the suite. The room had a full grand piano, kitchen, dining room table and additional sitting area. We couldn’t believe it. ||Beyond that the restaurants are amazing, especially Rosa Mexicano in the Dolphin - which is a part. If you go there ask for Karen at breakfast. 20+ years working for Marriott. She knows how to make you feel at home. ||I stay here 3-4 times per year and strongly recommend anyone - family or couples alike, consider these hotels.||You are entitled to all the benefits of a Disney deluxe resort and are considered on property all while earning Marriott points if that’s your thing.
Fantastic location that is literally steps away from the entrance to Boardwalk on one side and the Yacht Club on the other. Walk through Boardwalk and you are at the back entrance to Epcot and the Skyliner. It’s a little longer walk to Hollywood Studios. Check-in was a breeze. We liked - Comfortable bed, Recently updated hall carpet, Nice modern room setup, Great rain shower head in a sleek modern bathroom with two sinks, Large soft towels, White tea lotion and the Robes. The water taxi is super convenient to Epcot and Hollywood. The buses to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom are not. They are not Disney, no wait times posted and drop off points are not close to other bus stops. We had several maintenance problems during our stay. The maintenance crew was friendly and very responsive, we just didn’t want to see them every day. We had a water leak from the mini fridge, the safe didn’t work, shower head would not switch to handheld, cabinet door fell off, toilet paper holder was falling off, faucet leaked and worst of all our thermostat worked intermittently. One night it dropped to 66°, another day we came back from a hot day at the parks and it was 75° in our room. Then we got a TEXT that we would have to change rooms. They gave us a smaller room and refunded the difference. But they were not very apologetic, symptomatic or offered any type of compensation for our troubles. We had to change plans to work around their problems. We are Marriott Elite Members but did not fill treated like one at all
I’d like to preface my review as someone who’s been visiting the Walt Disney Resort for many decades, am a Vacation Club member and Annual Passholder who visits biannually. ||The hotel itself is beautiful, is clean and conveniently located within walking or boating distance to Epcot and Hollywood studios. ||The hotel has many food options, recreation and shopping onsite. The reason for my low score at this property is a reflection of the staff, in particular the night hotel manager and daytime staff at the front desk and customer service. ||The room itself had a resort view big windows with a couch desk the normal things you would find in a deluxe hotel. Comfortable bed, and linens and plenty of pillow. However - bathroom, and vanity area are a joke. You have to physically climb over the toilet to get to the shower, the toilet and the door would make anyone claustrophobic. The vanity is tiny, and there’s no door, so getting ready you’re on full display for anyone in the room.|| The desk staff is not kind, at least who I encountered. The bell staff were fantastic. ||I have a son who is autistic and needed accommodation and experiences difficulty with elevators. Despite multiple attempts to address this issue—through phone calls, visits to the desk, and conversations with staff—I was assured it would be resolved. Mind you the same requests have been given at other Disney property hotels, numerous times with no issue. ||Unfortunately, the manager on the night shift responded dismissively, suggesting I “use an escalator.” ||I was left to wonder if it’s truly reasonable to expect me to hold my almost 50lb son while managing his stroller, which also functions as a wheelchair for his safety, on an escalator with a medical bag. This suggestion shows a lack of understanding and empathy, and I was deeply disturbed by the treatment we received. Even the bellman, who witnessed the situation, expressed sympathy, as it was clear how poorly we had been treated.||My son cried and was frightened each time we used the elevator to visit his special place, Disney World. The location of our room on the 9th floor, felt as if it was deliberately placed far from the elevator, adding to our difficulty.||I can’t help but wonder if this situation arose because we didn’t fit the traditional mold of a business traveler or family. I am truly hurt by how we were treated. I would not visit this hotel again or recomend it to anyone who needs an accommodation. Furthermore, if you have mobility issues Medical/ Handicap parking is very far from the lobby.
I booked a two bed standard room with the expectation that it would have a walk in shower as most hotels have these days. I was informed at check in that they have tub showers which wouldn't accommodate my special needs son with mobility issues. As they had no ADA rooms available, all they would do out charge me $99 per night extra for an "alcove suite" which has a walk in shower. Week i don't know if it was just our room or what but the shower was tucked behind a toilet so you have to shuffle sideways to get into it and the door to toilet/shower room doesn't open all the way. Just a stupid design. I asked for something else and they moved me to an ADA suite which was better. Although they don't have two beds so my son had to sleep in an uncomfortable hideabed. Still i find this hotel crazy in need of updating and for the price, not having updated bathrooms is nuts. Aside from the rooms, the hotel itself was fine. We did have issues with the bus transportation have to wait 1 hours to get back from the ticket center. I enjoyed the meals i had at Rosas.
