Best WLM Reviews

Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much given 3 star resort but with 3 kids this family suite was ideal for our family and the resort was perfect. I am sure there are fancier resorts if you need that, but basically we used the hotel to shower and sleep. You aren’t coming to this area of FL to hangout in your hotel room, take that into consideration. We booked through Costco and chose this location as it was the lowest priced and am glad we did. The free shuttles run every 10-15, no reservations needed, we never waited, ever. The pools do get busy but are nice and in the evenings play movies. Food was very fairly priced. Honestly, I was blown away by portion sizes and price for an actual resort. We didn’t pay to eat, received one meal voucher each due to a room AC issue, but the resort worked with us and so did Costco. Easy parking, plentiful as well. Room service was daily and everyone was friendly. Overall, I would stay here again and wouldn’t even look elsewhere unless it was some insanely good deal. The suite has separate toilet from sink, then another room with bath and sink. This helps immensely with 5 people. Clean, friendly, and fun. Don’t be afraid that it’s not a 5 star resort, that’s what universal is for, plus private access to water park.
Looking for a fun-filled family getaway? Look no further than Cabana Bay Resort! It exceeded my expectations and offered so much more than I thought it would. Despite mixed reviews, it was a fantastic choice! The resort pool with a slide was the icing on the cake, providing endless entertainment for the kids. And after a day of exploring Universal Studios, we were able to return to the resort and unwind in total comfort. The hotel provides limitless towels for your room and even supplies them at the parks, so you don't need to worry about packing your own. There are plenty of options for those who aren't thrill-seekers, and the free shuttle service to and from the parks makes everything easily accessible. With so much to do and see, you'll never be bored!
I really enjoyed my stay here at the resort. The vibe and atmosphere was amazing! The rooms were clean and spacious with a great view. The breakfast locations on the resort has variety and the staff was friendly and welcoming.
I enjoyed my time at the lazy river, pool and the early access to Volcano Bay!
Great job Universal!
We love this hotel. It’s family friendly, affordable, clean and so close to Universal theme parks. The pools are nice. My only complaint is that they force you to buy/bring your own tubes for the lazy river. The food court is decent for theme park food and there are other dining options as well on the property.
Rooms are nice but ours has a smell to it. I'm sure it is from all of the wet suits and tubes hanging around from prior visitors. Also we were given a conjoining room and the walls are paper thin. We can hear every word our neighbors are saying right now and they aren't even talking very loudly. I wish I would have requested one without as most of the noise is coming from around the door.
The pool is nice, the food is good and well priced. The theme is great except for the Zest soap and V05 shampoo, while they fit the image they are not great to wash yourself with, I suggest bringing your own if possible.
My family and I stayed at Cabana Bay in May 2024, we reserved 4 rooms and stayed for four nights. Everyone was very friendly at the front desk and resort is super cute with a retro vibe. We had a toddler with us so super cute to have GRU greet us in the main lobby. The rooms are spacious, beds were really comfortable! The only issue we had with two rooms was that the mini fridge would not stay cold. The lazy river was so relaxing! The food at the pool bar and the pizza was pretty good. |We went bowling with everyone ( Make sure you get a reservation two weeks ahead of time) It's basically $20 per person, maybe a little more. We went to Publix down the street to get water and sodas which was better than purchasing drinks the entire time. The lazy river floaties have to be purchased about $12 - $15 per person which I feel should be included, however you get to keep them the entire time and take them home. I do wish they played some music or maybe had a DJ at the pool, it would have made the pool days so much better! |Overall, our family had a great time and we would stay again!
Overall, it was a great stay. The rooms were nice but I just expected it to feel a little more high quality than it did. The prices are, of course, very high, but that's to be expected. The best part is location. There are several pools, you can walk to the water park from your hotel room. They even have there a separate entrance for the hotel guests. There are conveniently located shuttles for the other parks. My son was in love with their burger and fries. I recommend getting the souvenir cup for drinks to save on money.
Stayed here for a family vacation this last week. Loved the retro vibe overall. The diner left something to be desired however it was expected for serving the amount of people it needed to.
Gym was never busy as I used it early in the morning. Plenty if space and machines and a locker room.
The bus back and forth was convenient and efficient to universal studios and islands of adventure.
Your also a short walk from volcano bay which was a fun time.
