Best WLM Reviews

Honestly the staff at this hotel were great! Even Starbucks I seen someone write they were rude. We went everyday and they were all super nice. We had one grumpy bartender at the lobby bar she was not very pleasant but the rest of the bartenders were sooo nice and amazing! Now the hotel itself. The lobby and outside is very well maintained and looks super nice. However the rooms were very disappointing. They were dated and definitely worn down I wish I would have booked one of the neighbouring hotels like I originally was going to they looked a little nicer. We had a volcano bay view which was neat but the room was small and there was a lot worn down. I would say if the price is right then book here. I will say our room was clean and I had a good sleep on the beds but for a hotel not being very old it needs some repairs in its rooms. The pizza was good we didn’t try anything else because there was better food elsewhere. Shuttle service was very good. We really enjoyed the pool and lazy river!! I would stay here again but not for the price we stayed.
This hotel wasn’t modernized. Parking was difficult in getting a spot near your room. The staff were helpful. I enjoyed eating out at the restaurant that was located on site. The food was very tasty and priced reasonably. There was easy access to the pool area. Also there was a path to walk through to get to the water park. My family really enjoyed the water park.
The location is great. You can walk to jimmy buffet inside the universal city walk in 25 minutes, which puts you right by islands of adventure.
25 might seem long, but if you take into consideration the time waiting and loading the bus , the drive, the unload, and the security check .... it isn't bad at all. Plus, you get your steps in.
We had issues with our first room, but the staff took care of us. Great service.
The second room is just amazing.
The hotel’s rooms decor was not one that’s inviting. The color of the rooms seemed dated and the bedding and the beds were old looking. However, the beds were comfortable enough to accommodate three people. (1adult and 2 children) If you need a scooter, you can pick it up easily from the front desk. Having breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant was a very short walk from your room and the food was reasonably priced and delicious! The water park was easy to access from the hotel. The water park was the Bomb!!! It was a great experience for our children. The shuttle bus ride from the hotel made it so easy to travel back and forth from the Universal Studios. There was a cost of $35.00 a day for parking at the hotel. The staff members were professional at making our stay a memorable experience.
This place is great for a family. The rooms are well priced and have space for several bodies with amenities such as a refrigerator and microwave. Universal is within walking distance and it includes the extra hour in the morning which is a bonus for those that want to be first in the park. The rooms are somewhat dated however they are clean and well maintained. They stick to the retro theme with mini VO5 and Zest in the showers which was cute but my skin and hair did not love.. There is nothing luxurious about the rooms but they do the job. We didn't use the pool because we went in late November with our teen and adult child who don't really care about the pool, however the pools looked very nice. Their was a lawn area with movies every night and a huge gym above the lobby. We just used it as a landing place for visiting the parks but I could see it being a fun place for a family with small children. Overall I'd give it a 4.5 but there's no option for half stars. It is a great stay for the price but like I said there is no luxury.
The service and location is great. While I get the idea that it's a retro motel the maintenance shouldn't be retro as well. The room was clean but felt dirty due to stains and scrapes. I've not seen V05 shampoo or zest products but they were offered in the bathroom in individual bottles which was a nice touch
The service was good for this kind of hotel. Housekeeping is not offered every day, which is fine but for some it may be an inconvenience.
Buses were always available to get to the park.
Sadly for the price they couldn't even offer a complementary water in the room.
So you have something that has fewer amenities than a Hampton inn or Hyatt place at a rate that is much higher than both those offerings. This is my first time staying on property and I'm not sure I would come back.
We LOVED this resort. So easy to get to the parks, never waited more than 5 minutes for a bus, no stops on the way to the parks. The tower room was fantastic, check in was very quick, and the entire family loved the food court set up for grabbing breakfast or a quick bite or dinner at the end of the day. And if you go do not miss The malt shop and bring ingredients for s'mores because they have fire pits
I stayed at this hotel for three days, and it was an excellent experience! I was especially impressed by the location and the price, which were both very convenient and affordable.
The dining area was great, offering good options at a very reasonable price. Cleanliness was top-notch everywhere – in the dining area, the park nearby, and throughout the hotel. It was all well-maintained and spotless.
The staff was incredibly friendly and responsive. I really appreciated how they communicate via SMS, which was very convenient.
Overall, everything was perfect and exceeded expectations. I highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and pleasant stay!
