Fun, convenient, sporty!
This famous landmark is located right off the 101 freeway. It is also located right off the B line subway. The unique thing is that, it has a very convenient shuttle train, to take people from the street entrance to the parking lot in Universal City Walk, so you don't have to walk up to the hill. It is about a quarter mile away.
The City Walk has a lot of movie theme stores, mainly for the fans and tourists. If you are one of the fans for some classic movies and cartoons, then you may be able to find some unique things that you like.
There are also a food court and some specialty restaurants, such as Italian, shrimps, and Mexican, chocolate Smith...
Right in front of the food court, there is a square for music, Christmas tree, and a big TV screen.
If you like sports, there is also a huge TV screen to show the sports, non stop.
As a summary, this is a fun place for the whole family from all over the world!
I love that Universal has the city walk before the park. I think it's a big factor in the crowd management, and it's a great place to visit even if you don't have tickets to go into the park. You can get souvenirs, clothing, good food, drinks, whatever you want.

The first time I experienced this place was in February year 2000. I always used to always come here around 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2017. I was also here last year. A lot of things has change and some new businesses just opened.
This is a good place to hang out since it has almost everything from theatres, different restaurants and bar as well stores and other things. Almost everything is here.
Universal CityWalk Hollywood offers a lively and entertaining atmosphere with a decent variety of shops and dining options. While it may seem familiar to those accustomed to American shopping malls, the energetic vibe and collection of specialty stores provide a fun experience. With a keen eye, you can uncover some real gems within the shops. The food court offers a satisfactory range of choices, from quick bites to sit-down restaurants. Although CityWalk might not revolutionize the shopping mall concept, it provides a pleasant and engaging way to spend an afternoon or evening. 4 stars.
The citywalk is amazing at night. So many lights and music its magical. It's a great night activity. Easy parking for $10.
The stores are great too.
Had a blast.... Walked around with my husband and went into hot topic, Lids/pro image sports store, dodgers store, the crepe place, universal city walk store, hello kitty store, its sugar and the sock store. Then grabbed a bite to eat upstairs at the habit. The only issue we had was finding a handicap spot. Will definitely be going back soon.
So much fun and lots to do for the entire family! The Hello Kitty Cafe is a great stop to make and there are lots of food options that suit the needs/diet of anyone! I definitely recommend getting priority parking, it saves so much time getting into city walk so you have more time to enjoy the strip!
Always a fun time here. The new Super Mario Kart and Super Nintendo World are a hit with the young one and the misses. Water world show continue to be awesome too. Harry Potter world is great, and can’t wait for the new Fast & Furious coaster in 2026!
