Best WLM Reviews
Before staying here I saw both good and not so great reviews of Treasure Island, but this hotel and casino has always looked solid from the outside so I decided to give it a chance and stay here. I'm glad I did, especially at the pricepoint this place offers. Everything up in the guest areas was in good repair and the rooms and guest hallways were seemingly recently refreshed. No damaged or patched ceilings or walls, the carpets all looked like new, no paint on the outlets as I've seen even at some higher-end hotels, etc. This hotel and casino has a decent snack and sundries shop - I ended up buying some gifts there, 2 Starbucks and a Krispy Kreme for morning coffee (no in-room Keurig machines or similar, but that seems common in Vegas), there's a full-sized CVS off the lobby and plenty of bars and restaurants to serve most any clientele, food craving or desired price range. ||Each room has a safe and a refrigerator, the TV had plenty of channels, WiFi was free and fast, and the bathrooms had small bottles of boutique lotions, shampoos and soaps. The bed was comfortable and I slept well here, but I must admit I missed the experience of sinking into the bed and being covered with the puffy duvet that I had at another hotel on the strip some months ago.||I found Treasure Island to be a solid value overall, and it's adjacent to the Fashion Show mall, and directly across and a quick walk to several other hotel/casinos. This was my first time staying at this end of the strip and the view from the room was great, and I spent time at both TI and most of the neighboring properties, but I think I still prefer to stay at the other end of the strip as there seems to be more life overall and the view down Las Vegas Blvd from the intersection at the far end of the strip is tough to beat.||The only downsides I found with TI were that; The window of my room was filthy on the outside. My view of the strip was nice, but the dirt on the window was very noticeable. Also, they must have installed shower heads with very restrictive flow to conserve water. As a result, showers took twice as long as normal to try and rinse off as it barely trickled. Lastly, the comments about the strong smell in the lobby and casino area, which is overpowering and just hits you as you enter, are accurate. It seems they're trying to use chemicals or sprays to try and cover up cigarette smoke and other odors and it just makes it much worse. Lastly, while the guest rooms and common areas upstairs are fine, the ceiling above the drive-up entrance and some features above and around the bar and casino floor appear to be a throwback to the early 1990s when this place was built. It's not terrible, and it'll never look like the Bellagio, but it could use a bit of a redesign and update.
I prefer to write good reviews than bad, but this hotel needs to be aware of the issues at hand and address customer needs, especially when some features are listed as amenities on their website and they didn't deliver those amenities during the holiday/rodeo season - of all times a year to get it wrong- This was NOT IT.
Pros- ????????
-Friendly and welcoming staff
-Abundant food options in and near Hotel/Casino.
????????Cons-
-Beds are uncomfortable. I had to buy some pain meds to alleviate the pinch I got in my back every night sleeping here. For reference, I was fine after sleeping the day before and after at Circus Circus Reno. It was definitely the bed at TI.
-Rooms have no coffee, no coffee in casino or hotel lobby readily available in "off" hours. We had a total of 5 rooms for our family for 4 nights, I just bought a small coffee pot at a nearby store and made the coffee myself. Not a huge inconvenience for 1- but a major irritation for 9 of us.
-EV chargers don't work and staff has apparently no clue. I called a week before and the day before my arrival to assure I wouldn't
need to charge before parking my car here. The staff all said the chargers were working. They were not.
All in all- I won't be staying here again. There are too many great options to stay nearby with better amenities and better price.
We stayed here during the NFR. Beds were comfy, pillows were fantastic. We had an elite suite with 2 bathrooms. Plenty of room. Great location on the strip. Easy to navigate and friendly staff. The golden circle has great food. Gilleys is always a good time for the NFR watch parties. We will definitely stay again!
There idea of an additional $70CDN a night for resort fees over and above the price that was already charged for the vacation package is highway robbery. When asked what they are for the reply was for use of patio pool and hot tub, (which was closed) the fitness equipment (small compared to most hotels in an other cities that do not have resort fees ) the spa which charged additional fees over and above the resort fees for use of sauna and hot tube or any other amenities and for house keeping to give you clean towels and make beds. But they hang a sign suggesting to only use the cleaning service if it’s really necessary. Wonder if the house cleaning staff even clean the rooms properly considering I found stones and gravel in my bed the first night. Wax there and a hot water tap that was broken off.
Room is for the most part clean. Some issues with the drains and sinks clearing the water but i removed the clogged hair. overall a great resort with all the amenities. Great value and good payouts on the house floor! The hotel is located right across the palazzo and Wynn and venetian if you want to gamble at the higher end of the spectrum.
Room and bathroom 5/5 for cleanliness. Rooms are dated and could use a reno. Casino has low ceilings and feels more closed in or ‘cozy’ than others on the strip. The fake concierges selling discounted show tickets were quite annoying but I think that’s everywhere. Overall good option for a mid tier resort.
Stayed here for the Eagles concert at Sphere. It was good. Not great. Good. Their night club is country themed and Rodeo was in town so it was over run by Cowboys. It was half the price of the Venetian, but we could walk across for dinner and shops. For the price, it did what we needed it to do. Value for the dollar. Paid up for Strip view. Don't bother.
Rooms are in bad shape. Dirty, need to be updated badly! It's like a little city in there. The food is really great. World class spa. I spent 4 hours in there the 1st day after we arrived. Convenient location. If I had a complaint it was taken care of immediately and done right. But they should have already been aware of the situations.
