Best WLM Reviews
If you are traveling down, interstate 59, this gem of a place is well worth the drive up the mountain! The food is absolutely delicious. I had the brisket with beans and collards with a Texas style toast. They have a selection of sauces that I believe anyone can find a favorite. The food was very tasty and the owner was an absolute pleasure to get to meet! The person who took our order was super nice and friendly! I love the outdoor seating. The weather was beautiful and it was very nice and cool. I live about an hour from here, but I definitely would do this trip again just to eat there!
Stopped by for a pork sandwich and got some tater salad and some strawberry banana pudding. The sandwich is really large and so yummy so I did not eat the potato salad. I was not gonna be too full for that pudding and it was delicious!!! Potato salad in the fridge for later today. I highly recommend!! Best BBQ I’ve found in the area. Not fatty lots of meat!
Food was horrible. Asked the staff if their brisket was good, she said it was the best around. Probably because it is the only around. Brisket was tough and rubbery and tasted like beef jerky had to drown in BBQ sauce to even eat it. Green beans are from a can and had no flavor, and cooked apples tasted of chemicals and not edible. Was hoping this place would be good, from the other reviews but this place is a no go for barbeque. Especially after spending $20 dollars for a plate I would've rather eaten fast food for the money and taste.
Quite honestly some of the worst BBQ I've had. Pulled pork was exceptionally dry and bland, Cole slaw was watery and lacked any flavor at all. Baked beans also weren't very good. Food was served with garlic bread as opposed to white bread for the sauce which was a little bizarre. BBQ sauce was nothing special, tasting as if it was just sweet baby Ray's in a little cup. They also don't provide nearly enough sauce. Service wasn't super friendly and another huge con is they don't take American Express cards. Otherwise, prices are reasonable for the portion size.
Great little BBQ spot! Have a walk up window for ordering which made it super easy to stop on the way home from Cloudland Canyon w our dog in the car. Sandwiches are loaded up and sides are tasty too
No day exploring Lookout Mtn is complete without stopping here for lunch! Phenomenal BBQ, amazing sides, southern sweet tea with a twang and all at amazing prices. While you wait for your food enjoy rocking in a chair or glider and breathing in that fresh mountain air. If you like greens I highly recommend their collard greens, some of the best I've ever had!
Can't stop thinking about this BBQ.
Seriously!
I stayed a night in rising fawn and had the pleasure of stumbling onto this little gem.
I ordered a full slab of ribs and some pulled pork and I couldn't believe how good it was.
I ate the entire slab that night (it was HUGE) no regrets. The staff was friendly and helpful and I got my meal fast and hot.
Stop in for some of the greatest BBQ you'll have.
I came across this awesome place today! The ribs were moist, tender and very flavorful. The slaw was extremely tasty. The baked beans were very interesting. They have an incredibly flavorful spin on baked beans. The restaurant is extremely clean and appealing. The health department score was 100! This was my fourth different BBQ restaurant stop this week in Northwest Georgia and was hands down the best! The owner was very friendly. Overall it was great! I can't wait to go back and try the brisket.
