Solid place for a decent burger and some appetizers. Amazing view from their upstairs outdoor dining patio of the sea wall and ocean. The Spot has always been consistent with their food and pricing is decent. They could be a little more generous with their amount of fries for the meal and their sauces.
We went to the Rum Shack, which is one of the venues in The Spot as the final party/meal of our submarine reunion here in Galveston. It was a very nice setting, up on a balcony, overlooking the beach. Good service. The southwestern meal that we had was very good and filling. The wait staff were very attentive. Highly recommend.
Unique and fun! We enjoyed the food, views and atmosphere. I had the black bean burger. It had a pineapple salsa that was amazing! My husband had the Ralph burger. A hamburger with bacon, BBQ sauce, onion rings and seasoned curly fries. My brother had a poboy sandwich which he enjoyed. We topped it off with a jumbo brownie and rice crispy treat with sprinkles. Sitting on the patio with the waves in the background completed the experience.
Decent place. $10+ on drinks. All the food comes from the same kitchen. Limited parking supposedly there's a parking garage that you need to get your ticket validated for.
fantastic location right on seawall Blvd, super easy to order (order at the counter and have it delivered to your seat) and employees were extremely nice and helpful! food was absolutely delicious, my spouse and i both got the ralph burger, and it was delicious!! we went on a Thursday around 4pm, no wait, and there was tons of free parking. good view of the ocean depending on where you sit. there is also outdoor seating available.
My experience at the spot is the same every time I go. The vibe and atmosphere is pretty great. There's plenty of seating, with some being upstairs. You can get a good view of the ocean sitting just about anywhere. The service is whatever, they take an unnecessarily long time even when they're not busy. They usually skimp on the fries as well. The food is okay, it can get a little pricey for what it is. If they're busy good luck finding parking. Rating 7.2/10
We had a great time at The Spot! They had great food, great music, and the view of the beach was amazing. I was very happy that they had plenty of gluten-sensitive options as well!
Stopped here as it was right next to our hotel. Atmosphere was really nice and we had a great view of the ocean. It was a cooler day and they had a heater above all the tables keeping everyone warm. We came for happy hour and the prices were really good. Unfortunately the food we got all came out cold. We split a burger and did 1/2 rings and fries. They charge you 1.50ish for the upgrade. The rings had the potential to be good however they were extremely cold and probably sat for awhile before we got them. Mozzarella sticks were good, chips and queso could have been better and the cheese was so cold when we got it there was a scab on the top of the cheese. Overall the food wasn't bad but you are paying for the location and service. In a pinch I would give it another shot.
